Starting off with the last day of July. Lagoon Day!
Love me a Lagoon Day. I seriously do. A lot of people probably think I'm a whacko, but we have so much fun. I used to have a weaker stomach when I was younger, strangely enough the older I get the more I like rides. Now that Carson is getting bigger and able to ride more of the big kid rides, well I am loving that. He is a blast to ride with.
I won't lie though, still love watching my baby faces ride around on little boats, and cars and rockets....just something about those sweet little smiles spinning around and around. Does a mom's heart real good.
Typical day with Drake...a few bizarre mood swings. That kid is more dramatic than a girl I swear. Such a pouter.
We closed the place down, always do. In fact we are always kinda bummed that they close most of the kid rides so early, we usually want to keep going. Oh well.
It was a great day spent with each other and cousins and grandma and aunts and uncles. Perfect.
Took off the first Saturday in August from work so I could make sure and be there for Lance's baptism. Can't believe our boys are eight. Remember plain as day when we brought our two newborn babies home. Born 12 days apart. Can't believe they both were baptized this year...post to come on Carson's.
Too beautiful to not photograph...the cow fields at Jenny's house. And my Lincoln boy. Piteresque.
Swim lessons for both my big boys. They absolutely loved it. Carson says swimming is his "thing", and I think he's right. He was a natural out there. Both of them passed their levels perfectly. I even signed up Carson for a fall session. He is so excited. And so am I. I loved sitting there on the sidelines, with my silly Drakey bug jabbering away and watching them swim. Was one of the best parts of my day.
Said goodbye to sweet Renan. He needed to head back to Brazil before school started. We all met at the park one night for a little KFC.
and of course a little soccer.
Thiago's team that he coaches for had a summer swim party at one of the parent's home. They have a pool. A beautiful pool. My boys thought they had died and gone to heaven. Kept asking me when we were going to get a pool. I said how about never. Keep dreaming weirdos.
Firepit out in the backyard one Sunday night with the Phongsavath's.
s'mores....yummy. Lincoln literally burned about half our bag of marshmellows. Kid was relentless. Demanded to keep trying, every marshmallow went right into the flames, then he screamed and carried on. Good times.
Celebrated our Granny gal's big eightieth birthday. How I love this sweet lady. She is truly a shining star in my life. One of those people you think about and your heart just gets all warm and fuzzy. Love her so much. So much.
Look at that smile, oh my heck I love this picture. She loves these great grandbabies so much. She is truly their biggest fan. Can't say no to any of them. And they are all just enchanted by her. They think she is pretty much the greatest. And she is. Love her look of pure joy in this picture. Just makes me happy!
And we snuck away for a date night one Satuday. No kids, just my honey and me and a few good friends, and a bloomin' onion and a coke. What else does a girl need at the end of a week.
Guess this wasn't quite all of August. Got more to come....

Looks like a fabulous time! Sad to see all the summer fun wrapping up, huh? Another year of great memories, though. :)
