Halloween Festivities...

More Halloween fun...we are totally prepped for this holiday. I think that is what makes it fun for kids though, all the anticipation for the big event. Got together at Jens for our own little mini Halloween carnival. Cute boys in their matching shirts, yes I am one of those moms that loves to match their kids. I am sure they will love that as they get older. For now I can still get away with it.

Carson pre-party. He has been packing this little bucket around for the past week, ever since I bought it for him. Who knew this stupid little thing would bring him such joy. He has got quite the imagination with it. Many hours and hours of fun-filled joy.

Look at that face....TROUBLE. I tell ya, never seen a kid quite like this one. He can get into things faster than anyone. Truly, I love him but man alive is he hard to keep up with.

The older kids made these cute little spiders out of pipe cleaner, suckers and googly eyes. Mine looked like crap, but whoever made this one did a good job. I am not crafty, even something as simple as this. Mine all had crooked, mismatched legs. Carson looked at it kinda funny, and moved on to something else.

Here I am, trying to fix my retarded legs. Kinda worked, not really. (By the way that is Jen's light fixture coming out of my hair, for all those who are wondering. I know it looks kinda weird.)

Coloring pumpkins with markers. No paint this year, too messy and they didn't really even enjoy it that much.

Little miss Betty made us refreshments. Hot wassail and pumpkins cupcakes with cinnamon frosting. So yum...wish I had one right now.

Our own little version of trick or treating. Getting the kids some good practice before tomorrow night.

Yep, we are white trash. Almost 1 year old crawling around in just his diaper, trying to break into suckers. Mom is too lazy to first off, dress him completely. Second, end of the day and I didn't really care if he got sticky for a few minutes. Have at it baby boy.

Thanks girls....see you all on the big night...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Jack-O-Lanterns!!

Pumpkin carving fun. Well, fun for me cause it wasn't at my house...ha-ha. Right Ash?? What a mess. Ashley hosted once again. Next year, I guess it will be my turn. Before the carving started, Thiago and Carson ran our Boo's to a few neighbors. I just wanted to take a picture of Carson with a plate of the treats so I would remember. This is already a fun neighborhood to be in, we got Boo'd the other night. (A treat left at your door and then you go and do it to someone else.) Carson thought this was the greatest. Thiago took Carson with to drop off the treat, he thought running and hiding was hilarious. All he could talk about.

Every year the holidays just get funner and funner. Carson just soaks it all up, he loves all of our little traditions. It makes it all so worth it, just to see his little face light up with excitement. I love it.

Honey cuts all the tops off, I tried but it just wears me right out.

Scoopin out the guts..love that part.

Oh boy, Carson made THE biggest mess. He was absolutely covered in pumpkin slime. He spent the entire time, scooping out all the guts in his pumpkin and then scooping it back in . Over and over and over. It was disgusting. I seriously undressed him in the kitchen, cause I didn't want him walking through the house. It was that bad. The minute we got home I was ZOUT happy, trying to spot out all of those stains.

Took my boys to get their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes earlier that day. Messed with Lincoln's nap schedule, so he was exhausted. Here he is taking a little snooze during all the pumpkin chaos.

Woke up in time to take a bath and then snap a few pictures with the final products.

Lincoln's, Carson's, mine and Theo's...

Happy little Pumpkin family. Thanks Ash!

"Heavenly Father told me"

Carson's part today in the sacrament primary program. "Because Heavenly Father told me". Cute, soooo cute!

Davis DARTS!

My brother in law is the head coach for Davis High School's soccer teams (boys and girls). The girls had a great season and made it to state this year. Our family and Ash and the kids went down Friday night to watch them play. They got to play at Rio Tinto stadium (Real Salt Lake's stadium) in Sandy. It was such a great game. They played so hard throughout. In the last 5 minutes of the game, Alta got ahead 3-2. We thought it was over but in the final 10 seconds, Davis scored. Went into the 10 minute overtime, no one scored. Stayed tied 3-3. Next overtime, nothing happened again. So they went into the penalty shootout, best out of five. Both teams scored 3 again, so still tied. After the first 5 shots, they just keep going until a team misses. Alta scored, Davis, Alta, and on the 7th shot Davis missed. Game over. What a way to lose, I felt so bad. They played awesome though, and of course they have a great coach (Souli). Good job Darts, you guys had a great year!

Oh this kid, wouldn't sit still for nothing. He explored every square inch of this stadium. It least to his poor little mother who had to chase after him that it what if felt like. Oh, but wait he only did that after he successfully spilled my very full cup of hot chocolate all over me and my purse. I don't even want to think about life once he starts walking.

And this one, he spent his time eating popcorn and walking up and down the stairs by our seats the entire night. Kids are such a joy at these type of events.

Baby girl was a little angel, like she always is.

Fun night...glad we got to go.

One month to go..

Meant to post this a few days ago, kinda slow in getting to it. 11 months down and 1 more to go until my little baby turns 1. Oh my heck, why oh why does time move so quickly. I feel like I have waited my whole life to get to this point and now it is just flying by. I DO NOT want my kids to get older, I love this stage they are in and I wish I could just freeze everything. I know that is obviously not possible but it really does hurt my heart just a little watching them grow and get older.

Can't get enough of this boy and his squishy little face. His high pitched little yell, those kissable cheeks, and sloppy, wet kisses. I love this age, so much. Starting to get big and show that personality but still so much of a baby. I just keep thinking back to this time last year. Big and pregnant and all. Every June and now October do that to me. What is it about pregnancy that we as women are so obsessed with. I know we spend the majority of the time feeling sick, tired, uncomfortable, completely unattractive...yet still it is absolutely magical. I love to look back at the pictures of myself and remember. Remember the little kicks and jabs, the big round belly, stretched in ways you didn't think were possible. The many nights I would just lay there wondering what he would look like, how he would act, was he going to be feisty or calm. Just all the anticipation that goes along with pregnancy, knowing your life is about to drastically change. I pondered this little guy for so long. He is absolutely everything I ever dreamed he would be. Both of my boys, how lucky am I. Thank my lucky stars each and every day for this little gift of motherhood. It has changed my life. It has defined my life. Given me something that I hold so dear, so sacred. Never knew my heart could hold this much love. My sweet boys, love you more than life itself.

Black Island Farm...Twice!

Cars's preschool had a field trip this past week to Black Island Farm. It was Wednesday, the day they said was going to be rainy and cold. Woke up and was afraid we wouldn't be able to go, but the weather was beautiful. A little cool, but not bad at all. So I just put the kids in a little extra layers and headed off.

Carson had a lot of fun as always. We got there and went with his little class on the wagon ride to go get his pumpkin. After that they just let you do whatever. Their was a couple of other preschool classes there as well, including our little cousin Hallie. Fun to see them there.

We had already made plans to go with my sisters to the farm on Saturday, then I found out that is where the field trip was. Oh well, Carson loves it and was all ready to go again. This time he had more fun, cause he had his little BFF's there.

My little lumberjack taking a snooze...

Me and the sisters (oh, and the little bump of a baby in Jen's belly. #3 for the Smith family.)

My cute boy...I love him. He has no fear, no hesitations, no afterthoughts when it comes to this kinda thing. He was going crazy on these slides, the bigger the better. All different positions...his knees, his tummy, backwards. Makes me laugh. The sweetest part was the way he looks out after Brev and Luke. They were still kinda small and had a hard time climbing up the rope ladders and getting situated on the slides. Carson would put his arm around them, reach out and pull them up, hold their hands, catch them at the bottom. Seriously, makes my heart melt just a little. This boy and his golden heart, I tell ya he is a little example to me every single day and I am soooo proud of the little person he is.

This place is kinda pricey, but I am never sorry. We all just had the best time. All 6 of our kids were so happy and well behaved. No whining, fighting, craziness. Just a good time. Til' next year!

PuMpKiN PaTcH!!

Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins...

Ooohh, quite possibly the cutest pumpkin in that little patch.

A certain 4 year old boy, we all know and love. Safe to say this kid had fun.

Just resting up on a pumpkin, pondering which one he is gonna get.

Op, wait...second runner up for cutest pumpkin in the patch.

More interested in the straw and dirt than the actual pumpkins.

Pumpkins are purchased and have been placed on our porch. Where both my kids love to check on them quite often. Open our front door, yep there still there. I tell ya what better not have any bratty teenage kids stealing my pumpkins. I will have some very disappointed little ones on my hands.

Just a quick Happy 16th B-day to my little sister in law...seriously can't believe this girl is 16. I met her when she was 3 years old and have watched her grow up. She just gets more and more beautiful each and every year. She has turned into one of my best friends and I love her so much. She is not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. Nobody can make me laugh like this little nut can. Happy birthday Rose, love you so much!
