Happy B-day Hallie-girl!

Happy, happy Birthday to my most favorite little four year old. I can't believe you are 4 years old Hallie-girl, where has the time gone. I remember perfectly the day you were born...oh, how excited we were for you. Our first little girl. Thiago and I watched Tanner while your mom was in the hospital having you. We were absolutely going crazy, waiting for the phone call to let us know that you were here. I have loved you from day 1, my little bug and I will love you for the rest of your life. You were so beautiful, the first minute I saw you with all that dark hair. You were a dream come true for your mom and dad, you still are. We love you Hallie, and wish you the very happiest of birthdays and many more to come.

Easter Sunday

Okay...here are the rest of our Easter pics. We had a great day, I just love Easter. New clothes, candy, spring colors, the sun shining (usually), its just a great day and really gets me excited for spring and summer. We just got up and went to church and we were actually pretty close to being on time. We are always late, no matter what time our church starts. We are only on time when we have to give the sacrament prayers, which is actually this next week. Anyways, church was wonderful. It is so nice to go and listen to testimonies of our Savior and to remember his atoning sacrifice. I teach the Sunbeams so I didn't get to listen to the Relief Society lesson, but thats okay, cause Sacrament was great. After church we showed Carson what the Easter bunny brought him. I had been telling Carson all morning to be a good boy so the Easter bunny would come to our house, well Carson thought he was literally going to see the bunny. He kept checking out our front window to see if he had arrived yet. He was a little confused when we brought the present out and there was no bunny. Oh well. After that we went out and helped Carson look for his Easter eggs that the bunny hid. It was just the 3 of us, and Carson loved it. He took forever to find them all, he would walk right by the eggs and Thiago and I would have to say "Carson, stop, look right here." Goof ball. After that we went to the Cano's and had a great Easter dinner, way to much food and it was so good. I was stuffed. Then Thiago's family also had a little easter egg hunt for Carson and more presents. He is one spoiled kid. All in all, it was a great day, filled with lots of wonderful, new memories!

Egg-celent Easter Eggs!!

Okay, I am a slacker...everyone else has got all their easter posts up..I don't know what my problem is. I am a little behind. I am having trouble downloading my actual easter day pics, and I am to tired to mess with it tonight. So this is all you get for now, but check back tommorow cause I will have more. Here we are, coloring our glorious easter eggs. This is the first year we have done this with Carson. He has been to little to really understand in the past. But he LOVED it, this year. Why would he not, getting to play with eggs and put them in colored cups and stir, that is right up his alley. He loves that kind of thing. My only color options were yellow, green, blue and orange, cause I am a retard and don't know how to follow instructions. You weren't supposed to add vinegar to the pink, whoops!! No pink. Anyhow, the Phongsavaths came over and joined us, although Brevin just squished the eggs and made a giant mess. Oh well, me, Ash and Carson had fun. Sure are beautiful eggs aren't they, can you believe our creativity. Ha-ha!!

My dear, sweet Family

I just had to give a little shout out to my wonderful family!! Oh, how grateful I am for them. Our little family had a situation this week, where we needed a little extra help and support. I can't believe the way my family has rallied around us. I love them all and truly don't know where I would be in my life without them. How do people survive without family, that is something I never want to find out. So Maria, mom, Ashley, my uncle Steve and dear Aunt Tammy, Jill and kids, Jenny and Eric, Souli, Gus, Regi, Rose and of course my Granny O. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you from the very bottom of my heart, thank-you! You all don't know the difference you make in my life, I rely on you all so much and you have never let me down. Life can deal us some pretty tough blows every now and then, and I am so grateful for the love and support of these people. You all make my life worth living, you give me something to be grateful for, and something to smile about. Thank-you, again, each and every one of you for being you and making me believe that all things are possible. I love you and my life is truly blessed because you are in it!!!

Blast from the Past...Northridge High Jr. Prom 2000

Intoducing the newest segment to my blog.....Blast from the Past. I have seen this done on many blogs and I thought it looked like so much fun. Every few weeks, I will randomly choose pictures from my past and post them for you all to see. I have started with the one and only high school Jr. Prom. Ohhh, so romantic. As I am sure most of you know, my hubby and I are high school sweethearts. We attended every dance together, I had so many pictures to choose from, but I decided to go with these. Thiago was actually nominated for Jr. Prom King that year, he didn't win, but he was nominated along with my sweet, little pal Stacey. They had to get a group picture taken of everyone that was nominated, and I remember telling Stacey she was the only one who was allowed to sit by Thiago in the picture. I was a little possessive of him, even way back then. I absolutely LOVED this dress, I would scrunch down on the floor and puff the dress up around me, so just my little head was poking out of the top and I thought this was hilarious. I remember thinking I looked so cute that night, as I now look at this picture, I wonder what the heck I was thinking. Don't even ask me how I got my hair to go like that, I couldn't tell ya. All I know is I sure am something in that picture, whether that is good or bad I will let you decide. Oh, the joys of highschool...sure am glad I am done with that little phase of life.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

It is 10:15 at night, and I am barely getting this posted. But better late than never right? No one in my dorky family even remembered that it was St. Patricks day, so Carson and I had fun pinching them all day since they weren't in green. I love holidays...so no matter how small of a holiday it is, I still find reason to celebrate. Well, hope everyone had a great day and that you all have got the LUCK OF THE IRISH with you!!

Teryl's Baby Shower

Teryl and baby Cohen

Jen, Deeann and baby Faye
Stacey and her sweet baby Faye

What do you think...have we changed much in 7 years??

My friend Teryl is having a baby boy in May, her first, and us girls had a little get together for her. Deeann played hostess at her cute house and she did such a great job. We had so much fun...it was just the 5 of us. We had sandwiches and fruit from Jason's Deli, pasta salad that Dee made, chip and veggies and dip, fruit, cheese, all kinds of fun stuff. Stace made the best dessert, which I have got to get the recipe for. We just ate, opened presents, and got caught up on each others lives. I absolutely LOVE these girls!!! Since Junior High the five of us have been BFF's. We definitely hung out with others every now and then, but the 5 of us have always been inseperable. I have so many wonderful memories with these girls...you all know high school can have its ups and downs, but my girls were my rock. We got each other through everything. We did all the crazy things that 17 yr olds do, some are to crazy to mention, but one thing is for sure, we had fun in all that we did. We don't see each other as much as we would like, we have all grown up, married and started our families but the minute we are together. I feel like I am 17 yr's old all over again. We laugh and goof around like nothing has ever changed. I love you Jen, Stace, Teryl and Deeann, thanks for being the best friends a girl has ever had!!

Addicted to Blogging...

Okay, so I was randomly blog surfing and found this little questionaire on someone's blog. I thought it was hilarious, so I decided to post it for all my blogging friends to read and give you something to smile about. Read through these statements and see if you can relate to 5 or more of them. If so, then you have got the bloggin bug!!! I hate to admit it, but I have got the bloggin bug BAD, I relate to almost every single one....AAAHH... appearantly I need to get a life.

1. You feel a little guilty, when you checkout blogs of people you don't know (can you say blog stalker).

2. You bring your camera where ever you go in hopes of a good post, pictures prove you have a life.

3. You average an hour (ok maybe 2) reading other peoples blogs and creating your own posts.

4. You customize your blog at regular intervals (notice my cute new template)

5. You compare how many friends and family links you have, with how many your buddies have.

6. You have started a post with the words " So I".

7. You have read someone else's post more than once, twice, three times even

8. You have read your own posts more than once, twice, twenty times and it brings a smile to your face every time.

9. You are not always sure of the comment etiquette, so you often just read the person's post and then pretend you were never there.

10. You practice posts in your head, and then forget them when you sit down at your computer.

11. You spend more time creating the post about an activity, then it took to actually participate in the activity.

Well, whats the verdict, are you all as addicted as I am . Come on you know we all love it, so blog on people!!

Welcome Home Jen

Kids making a mess of my flower bed!
Scrub a dub dub...2 little boys in the tub
One tired baby....

My Jenny is home for 10 days!! Yeah! I absolutely love when she gets to come home. She is so far away, and I miss her so very much. She is my twin, and therefore my other half, my heart just aches for her while we are apart. Eric's brother is getting married, and so the Smith family paid for Eric and Jen and the boys to fly home. Life pretty much stands still while she is here, I do absolutely nothing but play with her every day. I don't clean, cook, laundry, go to the grocery store, nothing!! Her first day here was pretty crazy, well for Jill and I anyways. Jen wanted her hair cut and colored for the wedding, so she spent the day in Ash's salon. I watched her 2 kids, Carson, and Brevin. Jill came over with Tan and Hallie and then pretty soon we had 2 neighbor kids join us. Can you say CRAZY!! My house literally looked like a tornado had hit. It was a disaster. But our little ones had so much fun together, it is so sweet to watch them play and laugh and build memories. Thats what life is all about. I have such great memories of growing up with my cousins, and I am grateful Carson will have that same experience. We started off by just playing inside, but it was a beautiful day and pretty soon the kids were begging to go out. So we went outside, and they all went crazy. They pulled every toy out of my garage, as you can see in the pictures they all decided to do a little digging in my flower beds. Not really my favorite thing for them to be doing, but oh well, dirt sweeps up. With 8 kids to watch between the 2 of us, pretty much our only goal was that nobody got hurt. Everything else was fair game, we had a few fights, a few tears and Brevin successfully swallowed a handful of dirt. Other than that we survived. You should have seen our monsters when they were done, Carson and Lance went straight to the tub, they were filthy. You would have thought we had gone camping for days. The babies were so exhausted, that they fell asleep within minutes of their bottles. All in all, it was a great day. Thanks to Jill, for her help...what would I have done without you!

Easter Pictures

I took Carson to get his pictures taken in his easter outifit on Wednesday. They all turned out so cute, I had a hard time deciding what pictures to go with. I love the collage with the 4 different pictures. I am going to take it to this guy who does a really good job picking out mattes and frames and have him frame it for me. I am going to hang it in our bedroom. My bedroom is white, yellow and light blue, so this will match perfectly. I just can't believe how big my baby is getting, he is just not a baby anymore. It makes me so sad to watch him grow up, but at the same time I love it. It is exciting to watch him learn new things and to grow and experience life. I just wish I could hang on to him for a little while longer... I don't want these baby days to come to an end, I love every minute that I have raising him and being his mom. They are priceless to me and I try to savor every minute because I know in the blink of an eye, these days will be gone. I love my little boy, more than I could ever explain. He is my reason for living and makes my life complete. How grateful I am to my father in heaven to allow me the blessing of having him here on this earth, that he has trusted me to raise one of his most choice , little spirits. I really didn't mean to get all sentimental here, but as I start writing, my love for him just kind of seeps out. What a blessing he is to me. With our struggles to have another baby, it makes me realize how fortunate I am to have him, so many women don't even have that. I can truly say that I do not ever take him for granted, I am grateful for every minute I have to be with him and that I am blessed to call him mine for all eternity!!

Future Missionary???

Do all parents think their children are as weird as I do. Of course I love him, but he sure does some odd things. First of all, look at those chicken legs, could he be any skinnier? The other day, I was changing Carson's clothes after church and I decided to hurry and try on some of his new stuff that I had bought for him. I am getting going on his summer clothes (even though it feels like I just got done buying his winter stuff). Anyways, we were trying on shorts, swimsuit and his new easter outfit to see how it all looked...and after awhile Cars decided he wanted to pick out his outfit. This is what he chose. WOW!! Quite the look, wouldn't you agree. He is wearing a white T-shirt, diaper, his socks pulled up to his knees, his new sandalls and the best part, one of Tanner's old ties that doesn't even fit Carson yet. Pretty cute, at least Carson thought so. Thiago had to stay after church for a meeting, and Carson insisted on staying in his ensemble until he got home. You can imagine the look on Thiago's face when he saw this. Funny, little kid!

Say CHEESE!!

Look at these goofballs! I was trying to do their hair one morning...and neither of them wanted to cooperate, so I put them up on this little stool, thinking that would distract them. Well it worked! They both thought they were so cool sitting up there, especially Brev. Look at those smiles, I would say cheese to Brevy and this is the response I would get. What a ham! He certainly knows how cute he is.

Before I was a Mom...

Okay..this post goes out to all you moms out there, or even those of you who are going to be moms someday. My mom sent me this email on my very first Mother's Day, I don't know where she got it but its a real tear jerker. It gets me every time!!!

Before I was a Mom...I slept as late as I wanted...And never worried about how late I got into bed...I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday

Before I was a Mom...I cleaned my house each day...I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby...I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisenous...I never thought about immunizations

Before I was a Mom...I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit on, chewed on, peed on...I had complete control over my mind and my thoughts...I slept all night

Before I was a Mom...I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots...I never looked into teary eyes and cried...I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin...I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep

Before I was a Mom...I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down...I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt...I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much...I never knew that I could love someone so much...I never knew that I would love being a Mom

Before I was a mom...I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body...I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby...I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child..I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy

Before I was a mom...I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay...I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a mom...I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a mom

And before I was a Grandma...I didn't know all those "Mom" feelings more than doubled!!

That pretty much says it all.
