Cutie pie...see him right there in the middle. Tiny guy in the black jacket, next to his very tall little girl classmate. Haha...she towers above him when they are standing. My kids are on the short side. And the skinny side. Haha.
It was a fun little field trip, I remember going when Carson was his age and this time was way better. The firefighter that led the tour was hilarious, so cute with the kids and he just never ran out of things to talk about. He had the kids hanging on to every last word, it was darling.
Lincoln boy standing outside the truck with the female firefighter. What a lady. The only gal there with like 7 guys...that's pretty cool.
Drakey bug got to come with too, he was mesmorized by those trucks. He is so funny though, wanted so bad to be up front and center with the preschool kids, and they totally would have let him. All the other kids had younger/older siblings there as well. However, he is such a chicken. Didn't want me to hold him, yet he stood right next to me with his little hand linked around my leg the entire time. Wanted the freedom to be down, but still not brave enough to leave my side. Love that baby.
Groupshot of Linc's class.
Then we headed home, put our baby down for his nap and me and Lincoln boy get ready for our Easter festivities.
Started by finishing up these mini fruit pizzas. Made the sugar cookies the night before, so me and Linc set to work frosting them and adding the fruit. Now friends, how pretty did these turn out. I was pretty much in awe of their beauty. Almost too pretty to eat, but not really. We ate plenty.
We had to taste test, make sure they were worthy to share with our friends. Linc said they were, his favorite was the blueberries.
As soon as we picked up Cars from school, we ran over to Ashleys to meet our friends and get going on the egg dyeing.
Me, Jen, and Ash kinda just helped from kid to kid. Going wherever one needed us. My mom parked herself right next to Lincoln. He is a full time job during this activity. Ha...he is a giant goof. Their is no soft, no delicate, no careful. He picks up those eggs and literally throws them in the dye. Plop! Colored water splashes up everywhere, and crack goes his egg. He keeps them in for 2 seconds, pulls them back, water dripping everywhere and lays them in his tray. And a spoonfull of colored dye joins them in the tray. Oh that kid. Talk about a mess.
Drake roamed Ashley's house playing with all his favorite toys there. No time for coloring eggs, just toys. Which was probably a good thing. Don't ya love that smile...kinda evil looking!
We them made these cute little jelly bean filled butterflys.
Then our egg hunt. Hate Easter in March in Utah. Hate it. Hate it. Very rarely do we get pleasant temps that early. This particular day it was cold and rainy. And not ideal Easter egg hunt weather. So we had to have it inside, which lets be honest...that takes some of the fun away. Oh well. We did our best to make it fun. We split the kids into two groups. Big kids..Lance, Cars, Luke and Brevin. And little kids....Linc, Elle, Katelynn and Drake. Makes it way more fair. Those big kids are hogs.
Drake had no clue what was going on, wasn't understanding the concept of egg hunt...big brother to the rescue, he helped him fill that bucket up!
Super fun little party!! Can't wait til Easter!
