Easter was lovely. Always been one of my favs, although I am pretty sure I say that every holiday. And honestly Easter is only my fav when its late, like it was this year. End of April. Can't stand when its in March, too freaking cold and not springlike. But April 21 with a high of 71. I'll take it. The day started out a little unexpected. My dear sweet Grandma Williams passed away about a week after. I have a whole post to come on that. Broke my heart and was a really emotional time. Anyways, that Saturday night right before at about 10:00 at night my dad called me to say she was being taken to the emergency room. He was really emotional and wanted to be there but didn't trust himself to drive. So I jumped in and said I will go with, I will take you. So me and my dad headed up to Tremonton at 11 at night and didn't leave til about 5 am. It was one of the saddest nights of my life. But also one I will never forget. Not going to get into all that right now, more to come on my grandma and her amazing legacy. However, that being said I got back home to my house at about 5:45 am, slept for 45 minutes and then got up and got going cause I had a family to put Easter on for. Easter Bunny visited with new bikes. Confession, the only new bikes were for Carson and Linc. Drake was getting Linc's old bike cause it was still in perfect condition. So I ordered a stuffed Olaf off Amazon for Drake. I ordered that sucker 8 weeks prior to Easter. Failled to realize items coming from China, take an eternity to get her. Needless to say Olaf arrived 5 days late...so ya know what I did. Cleaned up Linc's old bike and stuck in there in the pile with the other two. Hahaha!! Lincoln was too excited about his new bike to notice, Drake had no idea, Carson gave me a weird look and then whispered "thats not new". I gave him some dumb story about the Easter bunny was still working on Drake's gift but didn't want him to feel bad. And all was happy. Ha! Parenting at its finest. Other than that pretty standard Easter. New church clothes, sunshine, bike riding, egg hunts at both grandmas. Ham, potato salad, pie, deviled eggs, broccoli salad.....all the usual. It was a pretty great day.
