Goodbye family of 3!

I am insane..it is getting so late, and I should be in bed. I am waking up at 5:00 tomorrow to be at the hospital by 7:00 am. Although, I know I am not going to be able to sleep, so what is the point of laying there. Thiago keeps yelling at me to go lay down at least, so I am getting some kind of rest. I will do that in a minute, just wanted to type out my feelings before our big day tomorrow. I cannot believe it is finally here, it doesn't feel real yet. I am sure it won't until I am there tomorrow getting my IV and getting things started. With Carson I wasn't quite so emotional, I was mainly just excited to be getting this new little baby, kinda like playing house. Things feel so different this time, I think knowing what a hard time we had getting him here and all of the things I have worried about. It just makes me extra grateful that I have made it to this point. I will be holding my little guy, by this time tomorrow. And that makes me feel like the most blessed person in the world. What a miracle children are, to think there is a little life inside of me that will join this world in just a few short hours. I can't believe it. Part of me feels a little sad. Tonight as we were driving home from visiting family, I felt those little jabs and kicks and thought to myself how much I will miss that. Of course it is better to have him here in person, but their is something so special about pregnancy. Truly a miracle, I read a quote one time that said something like "what a blessing motherhood is, it is a human beings only chance to assist God in creating a miracle". How true that is, how blessed I feel to have the priveledge of being a mom. Their is nothing better, and nothing that makes my heart feel fuller than my little babes. Well, that had better be it. I need to go at least try to close my eyes. Wish me luck friends....keep us in your thoughts and prayers that all will go well. Thanks to you all for your love and support to my little family. We will post pictures of our new little addition soon, until then happy blogging!!

Ready for Baby..

We are officially ready for baby, now we just need him to show up!! Here are the long awaited pictures of his room. Ha-ha...I am sure you are all just dying to see them, right?? The room took me awhile to get exactly right, at first I just wasn't happy with how it was coming together. However I think I have it fixed just right, and I really love it now. The only thing that will be changing is my mom is knitting him a red blanket to put on his rocking chair, instead of that blue one. It won't be done for awhile though. Notice she made him that cute little X-stitch above his bookshelf. It was a ton of work for her, but I so appreciate it. It just makes his little room.

As of this week, we are totally ready for his big debut. The house is clean and decorated for Christmas, the yard is all wrapped up for winter, the car is spotless, his closet and dresser is stocked and ready to go. We have all of the little baby things around the house set up (swing, pack'n'play, bathtub, bouncer), our hospital bags are packed. We are READY, which is a good thing I guess considering he will be here in 2 more days. AAAHHHH!!!

Trimming the Tree

I know, I know this is incredibly early to be doing a Christmas post, but yep thats right...our Christmas tree is up! I usually wait until the week of Thanksgiving to put up all my Christmas decorations but I didn't think I would be feeling up to it this year with a newborn and all. Soooo, we did our Christmas tree last night and I am doing the rest of my decorating tomorrow. I even talked Thiago in to doing the Christmas lights on the house this Saturday. So come Monday (baby day), every thing will be ready.

We had to get a new tree this year. We had a perfectly, nice tree but it was way to big to fit in the tiny little spot it had to go in. We got a new entertainment center and it is a lot longer than our previous one so we needed a skinnier tree. We ended up getting it at Tai Pan. The first one we brought home and tried to set up on Monday night but come to find out it had two branches full of lights that were not working. Sooo, after Thiago did a whole lot of cussing (not really, he was just mad) and I cried for awhile (those crazy pregnancy hormones) and Carson went around saying "naughty tree" for the rest of the night, we decided to pack it back up and take it back. The new one is just perfect though, don't you worry.

Carson of course, loved every minute of tree decorating. He loves taking the ornaments out of their boxes and looking at them all. He sat on the floor making up conversations between the different ornaments while Thiago helped me with the ribbon and beads. We still haven't gone and gotten our new ornaments for this year, that will have to wait a few more days.

Carson and the finished product!! I don't think the picture does it justice, it really turned out so pretty. Tis the season....let the Christmas spirit begin!!

Little Stutterer...

Okay....some advice is needed. My little guy has turned into a stutterer. At first I thought nothing of it, he would just randomly select a few words like me or you and repeat them a few times at the beginning of a sentence. Thiago and I would just kinda smile and listen to what he was trying to say. It was always at the first of his sentence and would go something like "Me, me, me, me, me, me want juice" or "you, you, you, you, you want to hold me", something like that. Well over the past two weeks or so, he is doing it more and more. Only it is not just me and you anymore it is almost any word he is trying to say at the beginning of his phrase almost everytime he talks. It is so crazy.

This is what has Thiago and I worried. We did some research, well when I say we I mainly mean Thiago. He gets very worried about things like this and has a tendency to overreact when it comes to Carson. We found out that in most cases this is just a phase and something they will grow out of. However if they have these signs then it could become a lifelong problem. First sign...runs in the family. Both my mom and Ashley have struggled with this their whole lives, my mom can't even give a sacrament prayer or a work training cause her stuttering can get so bad. Same as Ashley...so it definitely runs in the family. Second of all, if the child is learning more than one language. Well that is definitely my kid. Reason being, they are kind of overloaded on words and start to regress and get nervous when speaking. Hmmm...also if when speaking they say "ma, ma, ma mommmy...stuttering less than 3 times that is normal. However if it is repeated more than 3 times, the way Carson does it can be more serious. It is most common in boys at the age of 3 1/2. This all fits him completely. Which has Thiago thinking the worst, and he wants to get him into speech therapy or something. I am not sure what I think of it all. I want to say it is just a phase and hope it will stop. However I have seen in my own family how hard this can be. I hate to think of him struggling in school, with his peers and that kind of thing. What do you all think, have any of your kids or siblings struggled with this. As of right now, we don't bring it up at all to Carson. We don't point it out or make him feel self conscious about it. We just try and talk slow and calm to him, so he can maybe try and immitate us. I don't know, why do kids cause us so much worry. I know this may seem small to some of you, but when it is your own child. Well, you just worry. Anyways....give me your thoughts.

Gus and Shalae!!

Gus and Shalae had their big day this past Saturday. Everything turned out so nice, it really was a beautiful day for them. The planning was all kinda chaotic and it seemed like they had alot of stuff not going the way they wanted it to. In the end however, I thought it turned out perfect.

Cute, little Carsy-bug at the temple...he was so cute all day long. He was really quite cooperative with all the picture taking and all that. It was a looong day for him, but he was such a good sport.

Our little family...sorry it is kinda offcentered. That is what you get when you ask someone else to take the picture for you.

Carson always has so much fun running around the temple grounds. I try to keep him as under control as possible, but with everything there is to see. Well, it is kinda difficult. He is so cute about temples, anytime he sees a big house or castle or something he calls it "the temple".

My handsome husband and his cute little boy!

Carson as I am sure you all can imagine, was OBSESSED with Shalae and her flowers. He has a great eye for pretty things, and these two things were about as beautiful as you can get. He was in her face the entire time, I finally had to say "Leave her alone".

Our family before the reception. Funny thing, well I thought it was funny. Thiago did not. For some reason he got the only goofy vest for the tuxes. Everyone else had normal vests, but he got one called a bib vest. This thing was retarded!! It basically looks like a girls haltertop. It would not lay flat, it puffed up and made him look a little fruity. He spent more time trying to get this thing to behave, then I spent getting ready. I have never seen someone get so mad. If you know my husband, even just a little bit then you know this is so not like him. He is so easy going, but this vest really had him riled up. I couldn't stop laughing every time I would look at him. That did not go over well, needless to say it just made him madder. Oh well!

Carson on the other hand was as cute as can be in his little suit.

Three generations of little Cano men!

Big preggo girl, and the beautiful bride. I sure looked beautiful didn't I. Ha...I felt absolutely huge and ridiculous all night. Just how you want to feel, when you are seen by tons of people.

I loved this picture...he sure does love his Tou and Tia Shalae. (uncle and aunt in Portugese, that is what Carson calls them)

Check out that cute little guy in the middle.

Our Cano family!!

Carson and Brev at the reception. Dancing the night away!! Carson was only to glad to get out of his shoes and tie and jacket. Poor little guy. It was a great day, and we are so happy for Gus and Shalae. They make a beautiful couple and we wish them the best of everything. Thanks for letting us be a part of everything, we LOVE you guys!!

All Hallow's Eve..

The big night has come and gone, I don't know about the rest of you but I seriously can't believe it is already November. Where has the time gone? Well my day started out very early, got to be at work at 8:00 am for the staff meeting. Such fun, however we did get to dress up and sat around and ate treats all day. So it wasn't all bad, tough job I have. Right?? As you can see, I am very creative and went for the standard nurse look. What 38 week pregnant girl, would not want to weary comfy scrubs all day rather than work clothes.

Of course, I always take a ton of pictures, and I just think my boy is too cute to narrow it down to just a few. So here is a bunch of pics of my little batman. Too cute.

Thiago took Carson over to our ward trunk or treat for a little bit, while they were waiting for me to get home. Only problem was they hadn't really started the candy yet, people were kinda just standing around. So he didn't get much. Thiago then took him around a little bit at my dads house, and he came back after 20 minutes saying he was done. Carson is not really into candy, well not at all really. He occasionally likes chocolate, but not enough to wander the dark streets for it. I was a little disapointed, I was hoping for a full bucket. We all know I LOVE candy!!

These pictures just make me laugh, so I had to throw them in. Carson is such a goof. We were trying to pose him to get pictures, which he was fine with. He then decided to do a little posing himself. He made these little arrangements with his lawnmower, bucket, and pumpkins and then made Thiago take his picture. Little oddball, he is too funny!

Like I said, we headed over to my dads house after I got home. You know us and holidays, we gotta make the rounds to everyone. My dad was so cute, he put together this little treat bag for each of the boys. He is always so thoughtful, and the boys thought it was the coolest! After that, we went to Cano's for like 2 seconds. They had so much going on with the wedding, that we just ran in and ran out.

Then off to my moms...here is the cute little Dorothy herself. The grandkids just loved it, I thought she looked pretty dang cute!

My moms house is my favorite part about Halloween. She always makes chilli (well taco soup in recent years), muffins, wassail, cookies, rice krispie treats, doughnuts and all other kinds of good stuff. I seriously was excited for her food all day long. Love it! Here is Carson enjoying his 3rd doughnut of the night.

Thiago, Carson and Jen. Don't they look cute together. Ha-ha, I just thought it was a cute picture of them all.

Lots of fun, always love Halloween. Kind of the kick-off for all the holidays to come. Hope everyone had a good one!

Halloween Fun!

Figures that Halloween had to fall on a Friday this year. The one day a week that I work. Oh well, I could have taken it off, but with my maternity leave coming up and all that I decided to just work it. So, instead of doing all the little fun Halloween activities in the morning. I decided to do it all the day before, and invite my sisters and nephews to come along. We had a ton of fun, and most importantly the kids did.

Starting the day off right with some doughnuts and apple juice. I think those two things are very fallish, and they just go together. Carson doesn't like a whole lot of sweets, but doughnuts he loves. I think he ate about half the box all by himself.

Trying to get some cute pictures out by our pumpkins...trying being the key word there. He had to wear the sunglasses....this is the face I got if he did not.

Lovely!!

Huh, I thought it was hard getting just Carson to smile. Well, try all four of them. Great picture!

Oh, and then on to painting pumpkins. Such fun! Carson could have sat there and did this all day. He is actually quite careful, he doesn't really like getting messy anymore than I do.

For some reason, he really enjoyed the color black that day. His entire pumpkin ended up covered in black paint. I kept telling him to try out a different color, and he would just kind of give me a look and go back to the black. His pumpkin, guess he can do what he wants with it.

Notice the change in clothes, he did great with the paint. However he decided he wanted fresh water in his little rinse cup, but instead he ended up spilling the water all of himself, the table, my driveway, and his pumpkin. For all of you that read Jenny's blog, she kind of made me sound like a raging lunatic when this happened. That is not the case, I kinda just jumped up and reacted loudly. I wasn't mad, I was just a little put out. We keep joking around that I need to get this baby out of me, cause I will admit he makes me behave a little crazy. I don't get emotional like some women do, I just get easily bugged lately. So for all of you out there who have to endure my eratic behavior lately, sorry. Not to much longer.

Anyways, that is all the pictures I got. After the pumpkins, I had to go to my doctors appointment. Jen and Ash took the kids to Mcdonalds (their absolute favorite place) and then back to Ashley's to play and make Halloween sugar cookies. I forgot my camera when we went to Ashley's though.

On a side note, for all those who care. I was actually a bit confused I guess on the date they are inducing me. It is actually the 17th rather than the 18th. I was all for that, at this point every day makes a difference. Other than that, no new baby news. Stay tuned though...for these final 2 weeks.
