Trimming the Tree

I know, I know this is incredibly early to be doing a Christmas post, but yep thats right...our Christmas tree is up! I usually wait until the week of Thanksgiving to put up all my Christmas decorations but I didn't think I would be feeling up to it this year with a newborn and all. Soooo, we did our Christmas tree last night and I am doing the rest of my decorating tomorrow. I even talked Thiago in to doing the Christmas lights on the house this Saturday. So come Monday (baby day), every thing will be ready.

We had to get a new tree this year. We had a perfectly, nice tree but it was way to big to fit in the tiny little spot it had to go in. We got a new entertainment center and it is a lot longer than our previous one so we needed a skinnier tree. We ended up getting it at Tai Pan. The first one we brought home and tried to set up on Monday night but come to find out it had two branches full of lights that were not working. Sooo, after Thiago did a whole lot of cussing (not really, he was just mad) and I cried for awhile (those crazy pregnancy hormones) and Carson went around saying "naughty tree" for the rest of the night, we decided to pack it back up and take it back. The new one is just perfect though, don't you worry.

Carson of course, loved every minute of tree decorating. He loves taking the ornaments out of their boxes and looking at them all. He sat on the floor making up conversations between the different ornaments while Thiago helped me with the ribbon and beads. We still haven't gone and gotten our new ornaments for this year, that will have to wait a few more days.

Carson and the finished product!! I don't think the picture does it justice, it really turned out so pretty. Tis the season....let the Christmas spirit begin!!

Carson looks like a Christmas cookie or something in those pajamas I love them! You didn't tell me about your tree fiasco, I can just picture that whole scene you crying, him cussing and Cars telling the tree it's naughty, would have been fun to be a fly on the wall for that one!

That's really fun that you have your tree up, I don't think Benton would go for that quite yet. I think your really smart to have everything ready before you have your baby, it's a lot of work getting ready for the holidays, so I think that's very wise! It's a really pretty tree, I like how it's decorated.

Teri - that post just made me want to go put up my tree. I have been considering it and I think this just sealed the deal!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS time sooooo much. And I think that it's better to put it up before Thanksgiving. It helps make the holidays last longer and you can enjoy them more. Adorable tree. Thanks for sharing.

Can you even contain yourself with all the excitement that must be brewing; a christmas tree, decorations, and a newborn on Monday! Nothing wrong with starting the holidays a little early. By the way, your blog inspires me :)
