Another month..

8 MONTHS OLD...WHAT! Oh heck we just get closer and closer to that first birthday and my heart feels like it is breaking a little. I just love this baby stage and I was so excited to get back into it with Lincoln. It is just flying by right before my very eyes. Snapped some pictures of my baby boy in the tubbie and just had to post them. Every single one just captures the many little faces of my Lincoln.






Oh, I just love this baby!!

Few more shots all dressed up. We went to a baby blessing this last Sunday and I just thought he looked so cute in his little church clothes and all. We had a few minutes before we left so we went out in the yard and took a few. Carson could not understand why he wasn't being included in the picture taking. I snapped one of the two of them but it didn't really turn out.






Few facts for me to remember at 8 months..

favorite food... still his momma's milk. I tell ya what, sad day at our house when I wean this boy. 4 months and counting and I tell you it is going to be ugly. He is attached to say the least.

As far as solids go, he is a big fan of pretty much everything. Doesn't like the greens such as beans, peas and garden veggies. He will still eat them, cause he pretty much eats anything. Just not as vigorously. We have noticed some slight reactions to certain foods, mostly acidic fruits. Leaves a small rash on his chin (you may have noticed this in a few pictures). His doctor didn't see a reason to be concerned though, we just watch it. Can't give him alot of applesauce and pears. Other than that, he is fine.

favorite activity... Is at that stage where he just loves to sit up and be surrounded by toys. I just sit him in the middle of the family room with a bunch of toys and he is good for at least an hour.

favorite toy...probably his excersaucer. He loves to bounce and really goes at it in this thing. Usually wears himself out and is ready for a nice long nap when he gets done playing in it.

favorite way to sleep.... with his DAD. It is so cute. Lincoln is always ready for his late afternoon nap right when Thiago is getting home from work. They sit in the rocking chair with Lincoln's head in the crook of Thiago's arm, he holds him tight and pats his little bum. Within 5 minutes he is out. Lincoln rests up and Thiago unwinds from his day. Win/win situation.

Odds and ends...

Has one volume and that is loud. Those of you that know my boy, know this. Can't take the kid anywhere. Has the loudest little voice, even when he is just playing. Loves to hear himself.

Very defiant. He knows what he wants and puts up a pretty big fuss if we don't give it to him.

Busy, busy, busy. Grabs at anything and everything. I-pods, phones, blackberry's, my jewelery...I am surprised he hasn't ripped my ears out yet the way he grabs onto my earings and pulls.

Little fishie...I know I have mentioned this before, but he just can't get enough water. Bathtime is his best time and boy does he cry and carry on when I take him out of it.

That pretty much sums up my little buddie. I still stop and stare at him all the time, and just thank my heavenly father that he is mine. I love him so much, he has brought such an amazing little spirit into our home and family. Happy 8 months old little sweetie, your family sure loves you!
