Me and my kitchen saw WAY to much of each other last week. I swear I spent most of last week down on my hands and knees scrubbing my kitchen floor. Things get a little crazy when I am in the kitchen, we had the beater flinging frosting all over the place, Lincoln dumping flour out, Carson spilling an entire bowl of corn chowder. Wow that soup splattered everywhere, everywhere! I was amazed at how far that stuff can fly. It was a total accident and not his fault at all, yet still when it happened I had to take about 3 deep breaths and remind myself to not freak out. Anyways, like I said...I spent alot of time baking away and by Friday night I was more than ready for some take-out!!
Here is a look at what we made.
I don't think I mentioned that Thiago and my brother in law were in Las Vegas last weeknend. They went down to see the Jay Z and Kanye West concert. Silly goofs. Anyways, me and Ash got together last Sunday to have dinner ready for them when they returned and I made this little red velvet trifle. Sure is pretty isn't it. And it was goooood!!!
Had to make treats for my work meeting on Friday, so I decided to try something new. Mini cheesecakes. I wasn't a huge fan, I think I cooked them a little to long cause they were kinda dry. My sister made the same thing for a party we had the next night and I told her to cook them less, which she did. And she did blueberries and cherries on hers, and I liked hers way better than mine. Oh well, next time I will know.
Next up, neighbor/friend gifts. Two little helpers on the side.
Now this was quite the project. I decided to do 3 different kinds of cookies and then put a little variety plate together. 3 different kinds of cookies, doubling the recipe on each. Oh boy, it was craziness.
Notice Lincoln is now wearing something different. This is how long this took. Seriously ALL day!

and there you have it. All packaged up and ready to go. At least the finishing products on these turned out well.
Now that is it for me and baking. Santa is gonna have to have store bought cookies on Christmas Eve cause this girl is done in the kitchen.

I didn't realize just how much baking you had really done. And I thought I was sick of baking. Which is precisely why I went the non baking route for neighbor gifts. I told Eric I am not cooking dinner all week long. In fact I was a little bored during SS yesterday and scheduled cereal for dinner on his phone every night this week. Nice of me huh! Just a little surprise when he checks his schedule every day.
I love the idea of the three different cookies. And they looked so good. I love how talented you Williams sisters are, you all seem to have it so together!
So fun! This is the first year I've really done much - chocolate kiss pretzels, oreo truffles and 7-layer candy. Our neighbor gift was homemade BBQ sauce (my hubby's famous recipe). It was fun to have the time to be festive. :)
Oh wow, you have been really busy baking. I think everything looks delicious! And your cookies put my neighbor gifts to shame! The ones with the candy canes on top looks amazing. I did Muddy Buddies this year, way less impressive than your festive Chistmas cookies! I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!
