The table was set for four...
with only the best china...complete with some sparkling cranberry juice.
blackberry jalepeno jelly over cream cheese with crackers...ever tried it. If not, do so...I swear you will sing its praises.
dinner was chicken dill soup, feta green salad and some thick, crusty bread
red velvet cheesecake for dessert (you don't even want to know how much red food coloring goes into this baby...I swear how strange is red velvet, sure is good though.)
the company was pretty good too...these two were there.
as well as me and this girl.
And thats it.
No kids.
No husbands.
No Tv.
No shopping or errands.
No time limit.
Just me and three cute girls..
oh yeah, and some great food, beautiful atmosphere, and a whole lot of talking and laughing.
Now thats a merry little Christmas.

It also helps that I came home with these little prizes. Homemade banana bread and some candy cane bubble bath (which I have already tried, love it).
I am sure we are all in the same boat right about now. 9 days and counting. I have been running here and there and everywhere. Last minute shopping, baking, neighbor/teacher gifts, holiday parties, school programs, doesn't help that I added in 2 last minute gift ideas for my two youngest boys that is requiring a little too much late night work...December is in full swing in the Cano home.
This little evening was just what I needed. A chance to sit back with three of my favorite people and just feel that Christmas spirit. I don't know how in the heck those 4 hours went by so fast, but they did and before I knew it, it was time to head home. All is well though, our yearly mother/daughter tradition carries on and rejuvenates me for all that is to come. I love these three ladies...thanks for the great night!

I need you to call me so I can brag about all the to do's I checked off yesterday. The most accomplished day ever! I no longer feel like December is killing me, so that's good news.
I agree that night was just what I needed to, I wish December was always like that. Instead of rush rush rush, but then I think I would also miss the rush if I didn't have it.
Oh and the bubble bath is good huh, I hoped you would love it. Seeing as how you are addicted to baths I figured I really couldn't go wrong with that gift!
Oh what's the last minute gift idea? Do I know about that?
So much fun! I love you girls and your traditions! It makes me wish my mom and older sister lived in Utah so we could copy you guys! Glad you had some girl time, it truly is the best.
