Big Boy Bed

Ohhhhh, so very sad. We had to make the big switch on my baby bug's room. From crib to big boy bed. Drake's crib busted about 6 months ago and my sister was kind enough to lend me hers for the time being. Didn't really want to go buy a new one and she wasn't using hers. However being as she is pregnant and her baby is being born via C-section tomorrow, it was time to give back the crib. Hence the new bed. Which means its officially official...I no longer have a baby. At least we are still hanging onto diapers, it will be a saaaad day when we potty train him. Oh so sad.

The good news is I completely LOVE it! I knew I wanted to stick with the same theme and colors, that way I didn't have to completely redo it. Carson and Lincoln's room is all done in sports, and Drake's is transportation. Didn't really have to buy a whole lot. We already had the bed. It was Carson's bed was Lincoln was in the crib, then we Drake came along we got the bunkbeds and put this old bed into storage. Pulled it back out for Drake. Did buy all new bedding, and nightstand and lamp and decorations though.

Didn't it turn out cute. I had been collecting the new decor and bedding for awhile now. Just bought a little here, a little there. Was so excited to pull it all out and put it together. Did a real deep clean of his room and closet and all that, then came the fun part of redecorating. I still catch myself just glancing in there and admiring it. I just really do love it. So comfy and cozy and happy!!


He was so excited too, actually all the boys were. They are total nerds like their mom, and were so into my little project. They were all begging to sleep in there with him. Which I of course said no to. However that first weekend when Carson didn't have school and got to stay up a little later I let him lay in there with Drake. He told me he wanted to put Drake to sleep. Ha, yeah right. They just wanted to play. The two of them layed just like this for over an hour just laughing and playing. Lincoln was already asleep and missed out. But boy was it a cute moment between these two.








He has slept great. He has fallen off once even though we have the safety protector up. He is a wild sleeper and ended up falling off the bottom. He cried for like a second and then was right back to sleep. He has been in there for over 2 weeks now and that was his only incident. He is still sleeping through the night like a champ. No problems at all.

So thats that. No longer a baby.
