My family and I always go to the Relief Society Broadcast the week before conference, not the actual conference center just the broadcast. In the past it has been me and Ash and my mom, my cousin Jill and aunt Tammy. This year my mom couldn't go which made me way sad, but my cute little Jen was with us instead. The past 3 years she has been in Kentucky, so this is the first time she was with us. I LOVE conference weekend. It is always so uplifting to listen to our prophet and his counselors and members of the quoroms. It kind of rejuvenates you and gives you a renewed faith and testimony of our gospel. The women's broadcast is probably my favorite cause its speaks to us directly. I always leave feeling so proud to be a women, mom, wife and overall sister in the gospel. I do believe that our purpose on this earth is divine, and that we as sisters can accomplish great things. I loved President Uchtdorf's talk, he made a strong point in telling us all to not be so hard on ourselves. As women we have a tendency to strive for perfection and compare ourselves to others. We always seem to concentrate on our faults, instead of our many strengths. He was so inspiring and truly made me believe that we all have a great worth and have so many God given talents. It was a great talk.
After the broadcast we all went out to dinner at Mimi's Cafe. It is kind of tradition, it seems like we go there every year. We all love it though. Hallie girl, got to tag along with us. All the other kids were with their dads, but Hallie didn't want to go with to a football game so we just had her come with us. After all she is the only girl, and is such a little lady that she was a joy to have with us. It was a great night, like I said I love listening to the leaders of our church and getting to spend time with my very favorite girls and no kids. It is always a treat!!

I also thought it was wonderful! I really feel like they are just talking to me when I watch it, it is just what I needed to hear! How fun to go out with the girls!
I love Mimi's and I'm so glad your family does things like this.
ok...directions to the party.
Head north on I-15. Get off the 2300 N exit (Plain City and North Ogden area).
Turn right at yield (heading east toward mtns).
Turn right on US-89 going south.
You are going to pass 1 stop light, you will turn left about 100 feet after that light which is 2000 N. (if you get to the golf course on 89 you've gone to far, turn around and take your first right).
On 2000 North you will be heading east again toward mtns, your will see an LDS church on your left side, we will be in that church bowery on the east side.
It's very easy to find I promise. Call me if you have Q 801-791-9868.
It was a nice broadcast. I loved his talk to he is a great speaker. I know sometimes I'm really hard on myself. Which I know is stupid. What a cute post. I love conference time it really helps us put things into prespective.
It was a great night, nothing like girls night. I wish they came around more often, it's the best actually being able to sit down and enjoy a meal especially after days like today CRAZY! With all them kids it makes even a trip Dairy Queen exhausting.
Thanks for the fun night! It is always fun to get together. Hallie thought she was really cool tagging along.
I am so glad you did a post about this! I was so thrilled to hear the speakers talk about the things they did.
It was an awesome broadcast! I didn't go - but I saw it. What a fun tradition to go with the girls every year. You guys seem to have a really fun, close family. That is so important.
Who is that cute old lady with you? She is just darling. Truly a great conference.
