I am pretty sure that every dad that is a fan of sports, waits for the day to introduce their son to the game that they love. Well, Thiago's time is finally here. Carson started soccer, and who else would be his coach besides dear ol' dad. He really doesn't have time in his already busy schedule to add that in too. However, he just couldn't pass up the oppurtunity of coaching his little boy in his first organized sports team. Its cute. Way cute.
He was one excited little kid. He just counted down the hours that day, waiting for Thiago to get home from work. He was dressed and ready to go an hour before they even needed to leave the house. He kept asking me if it was time, and did I think they were going to be late. I had the Phongsavath kids over, and Carson kept telling Brev " Oh Brevy I am sorry, I can't play with you, I am going to soccer practice with my dad". Yeah, he was excited.
We'll have to see how this goes. He loves the idea of it all, but lets be honest he really isn't the most athletic kid I have ever seen. I have a feeling Lincoln is going to be into ball alot more than Carson. But he tried his hardest out there, and above all he had a good time.
About every 2 seconds, he was over by me asking if he could have a drink.
It was F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G out there, absolutely FREEZING. I cannot emphasize this enough. My teeth were just a rattling and those poor little boys were shaking. By the end of practice they all were kind of lethargic and not showing a whole lot of excitement. Hopefully it warms up here pretty soon, or I might be spending alot of time sitting in the car.
Overall, the first practice went great. Thiago couldn't stop laughing at the little boys and just shaking his head. Pretty different then coaching his 12 year olds, its a whole new world with a group of 4 and 5 year olds. Thiago says they spent a lot of time throwing grass at each other, kicking piles of dirt, running in the wrong direction. You name it, they did it. Cute little fellas.
Here's my boy warming up by the fire as soon as we got home. He sat here for a good hour. Barely got him to come over and eat dinner. He loved every minute of it though. He has watched his dad and grandpa play this game his whole life. I think he is just excited to be a part of it. Its going to be a fun season.
Oh yeah, this one had fun too, have I ever mentioned this kid has no fear........

So fun! Carson is the cutest little soccer player, love it! That is fun that Thiago is his coach, Jeff is counting down the years until he can coach Kade with football! Funny guys!
Jeff is all worried about having a girl, I told him he can enroll her in soccer...girls can play sports too right!
He looks so darn cute... For sure you need to tell me when his games are so we can come and watch him! Hallie just loves soccer too..
I can't believe the little guy is old enough to be playing soccer, what a funny sight. I would love to be watching that, I bet it's hillarious. Theo is a good sport, i don't know how he is managing to fit this in, but how can you not when it's your little guy playing for the first time. Let us know when the first game is the boys and I will be there!
How fun and so cute! I love watching kids play sports.
