Ahhh, summer...does it get any better than this. How do you like this lovely view that greats me each day. Our backyard faces city property and they have a wall of flowering trees and shrubs planted up against the fence. Truly my backyard feels like I am in some secret garden. I love it. Everytime I walk outside I just smile.
And the best part is we don't even have to take care of it. Because it is city property they are all over it. They keep it nice and trimmed, the leaves picked up, no weeds...and I get to bask in its beauty. Lucky me.
The other day I noticed the snowballs were starting to droop and wilt, must be the end of their little season. I told Carson that it made me sad. We then came up with the great idea of cutting a few off and taking them inside. So that is just what we did. Until I decided it was more mess than it was worth. Every time I cooked I had to move the little cup and the blossoms got everywhere...so goodbye flower.
Happily, we have a few other decorations that are summery and making us smile these days. Well, lets be honest....I am pretty sure I am the only member of my family that really cares about this stuff...but hey, if I am happy then everyone else is happy, right?
Yep, they make me happy....here is to the many nice, long, sunny days of summer.
(By the way, pictures of the rest of my yard to come, cause that brings me alot of happiness too.)

Cute little post. I love being outdoors too. Oh wait it has not stopped raining up here one day the past few weeks for us to enjoy any. Gehrig is getting so sick of not being able to play outside because to is so cold. Can't wait to see your yard. I bet it is beautiful!
