Had to throw in the pictures of the flowers...messing around with my camera, plus I just liked the bright colors. Memorial day was the same for us as every other year. Which is a good thing, I like Memorial Day.
Started out our day at CrackerBarrel with the Cano's. I LOVE going to breakfast, it is my most favorite meal to go out to eat for. We never get to either, since I am always at work on Saturday mornings. So even though it got me up awfully early, it was still much fun.
We then headed to Grandpa Cherry's for a quick lunch and then visited two different grave sites with family. Last year we didn't go to any graves, and I felt complete guilt the entire time. I swore to myself this year we would go no matter what. I want my kids to know the value and remembrance of memorial day. I want them to know it is a day that we recognize those we love who have passed on and not just a day to go out and play. So like always, I am so glad we went. And they still ended up having super fun, with all those little cousins around how could they not.
BBQ at my moms and more playing outside. It was the perfect ending to our day.
So that about wraps up May, now onto June. Seriously this month is going to fly. I am one of the camp directors for young womens (which is about the worst calling in the world, in my opinion) and girls camp is the end of this month. I have soooo much to do. Seriously, so much. I can't even think straight, every night I have got some camp project going on. On top of that we leave for Island Park, literally the day I get home from camp. I actually have to leave camp a day early so I can get home to leave with my family. Carson's birthday is this month, which always requires much planning and I also have three extra houseguests this month. Thiago's parents and sister are staying with us for a few weeks until their new house is able to be moved into. For someone who is as crazy/insane about a clean, orderly house as I am....this is going to be challenging. However, after all they have done for us, this is the least I can do for them. Needless to say, with all that going on it is going to be July before I know it. Happy June!
