Now that my boy is another year older...I have to keep up on my little Carson facts. I just want to be able to look back and remember my boy at five years old. You know the little things they do every day, that you think you will remember but somehow you don't. So I will document...by the way, don't you just love the picture. These two little monkeys left the house at 7:00 this morning to meet up with friends and watch the Brazil game. Best month of Thiago's life....come on World Cup!!
1. As good as gold. His little personality is just as warm as those big brown eyes. He doesn't have an ounce of meanness in him. He is truly a good boy, with the biggest heart. Is an example to me every single day.
2. Favorite shows include...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sid the Science Kid, Little Einsteins and Dinosaur Train. However does anyone else find it ridiculous that he is so used to our DVR that he now specifies which episode he wants and heaven forbid he watch a commercial.
3. A collector...his most favorite things to play with are things that come in groups. He likes piles of pens, candles, markers, paperclips...he has the absolute best time sorting, arranging, packing, talking to any of these items. I seriously don't know why I bother with toys.
4. Can count to 50, with just a little bit of help from me on the transitions....ya know 29-30. Can now write his own name and loves to spot the letters in his name on random signs and such.
5. All the sudden he has a HUGE appetite. I don't know where this kid stores all that food. He just can eat and eat and eat.
6. A pack rat...flips his lid when I throw things away. If he makes something in primary and goes to find it 4 months later, well it better be there or I get the wrath of Carson.
7. Best friend in the whole wide world continues to be Lance. They have without a doubt the absolute sweetest and purest friendship. They are the truest friends and I am so glad they have each other.
8. Loves his sleep...just like his dad. Lincoln and I don't require a whole lot but Carson, he better get his 12 hours or he is an absolute bear. Speaking of sleep, once he is you could have a herd of elephants in the house and he would sleep right on through.
9. The BEST big brother ever. Melts my heart the way he looks out for our little Bujaou. Already the two of them recognize the relationship they share and they cherish every minute of it. I love to see the looks in their eyes while they are playing. Kills me.
10. So observant. Notices my jewelery, new clothes, new house decorations, if something is slightly out of place...whatever. Nothing gets by him.
11. Nothing gets to him...he is willing to try any and all new things. He never hesitates, nothing scares him...he just jumps right in.
12. He may be small in size but his spirit is huge. I think he is going to be a natural leader, he just sets the way no matter what. He is not afraid to be different, he does as he pleases and never gives much mind to what others may think or say. I love this about him.
13. My little cuddle bug. I keep telling him that even though he is 5 years old, he is still my baby. I can snuggle him up all I want, and so far he still loves every minute of it.
14. His favorite toys continue to be his airplanes and helicopters. He loves those things. Also like his Star Wars stuff, and his new obsession is any type of dart gun.
15. Loves him some chocolate. Just like his dad. He won't touch the fruity stuff, but give him a huge chunk of chocolate and it is gone in a minute. Not my kid.
16. Starts and ends his day all snuggled up in my bed watching one of his favorite shows. It is his wind down time and I love it. There is nothing better than being all tucked in your mom and dads big bed.
17. Has a great imagination...he can have a good time with something as simple as a kleenex box for a good hour. I love to listen to the little things his mind comes up with.
18. Loves to play games...doesn't follow the rules at all. He just likes to get them out and make up little converasations and stories with the different pieces. Doesn't like when Lincoln messes up his fun.
19. Has started doing his own chores...emptying the garbage, putting laundry away, helping me unload the dishwasher. He is still at the age where he literally begs to do this stuff...wonder how long that will carry on for.
20. Makes me so dang proud. What a kid he is, every parents dream of their child. He sets the bar high, and I am so glad he is my oldest cause what a tremendous example he sets. Love him more than anything and truly am so grateful to be his mom.

Each one is so true and so Carson. He is one of a kind, I think you should just pack up all of his toys and bring them on down to my house just buy him some trinkets and he is good to go. Love you little Carsy, there is nobody quite like you. I love you so much.
What a nice post! I love that he is such a cuddle bug! I cannot believe he's 5, Happy Birthday Carson!
