First Family Reunion

Of course family reunions and summer go hand in hand. I have a big family and therefor alot of family reunions. This was our first one so far. It is with my Williams side of the family (my maiden name for all those who don't know). It is in the little town of Malad, Idaho. You kinda feel like you are back in the 80's while you are there, it is such a tiny town with some strange folks. However, it is a fun reunion. I have gone since I was little, so I probably just have good memories which makes me love it even more. We just meet at the town park and have a huge potluck dinner, which is surprisingly pretty good. Then they always have tons of games and all that for adults and kids. I was so hot, and for some reason I was really uncomfortable that day, so I basically didn't move from my spot under the tree. It looked like they had some good stuff going on though...if I had chosen to participate. Which I did not.

Carson and his cousin Gehrig. These two boys are two days apart. Carson is obviously a lot shorter...but they are the same age.


Me giving Carson a pep talk for his big game. They had 1 grandkid from each family go up and dig through sawdust trying to find candy. I was trying to explain the concept to him.


He did pretty well. Only problem was every time he found candy, he wanted to stop, unwrap it and eat it. He didn't understand that he needed to keep going. The point was to see which kid ended with the most, and then that family won points. Needless to say, we did not win.


However we did kick but in our families tug-o-war. Oh you gotta love family reunions, especially in the good ol' town of Malad, Idaho!!
