First off to my sweet "marmie". I love you so much. How do you thank the woman who has given you everything, who has been there throughout every moment of your life, the one person who never lets you down, the one who loves you unconditionally. I am so grateful to call you my mom. I look up to you in every way possible. Thank-you for a lifetime of wonderful memories, for the best childhood any kid could ask for, for always making me feel safe, secure and loved in this crazy world. The other day Carson was laying in my bed and he put his face into my pillow and said "ummmm, this smells like you mom". Remember how I always used to tell you that, I used to love to lay on your side of the bed and smell you. Funny how something as simple as your moms fragrance can make you feel so warm and safe. Thank-you for all that you are and all that you have taught me to be. What would this world be like without my mom, something I never want to find out. Love you forever and ever!
Now to my dear mom-in-law. Words can't express the admiration I have for you. I know I always say this, but if there has ever been someone with the pure love of Christ, it is you. Your goodness amazes me, your constant ability to smile and laugh at the world, even when things are so less than perfect. The way you love your family, each and every one of us. There is nothing on this earth you wouldn't do for us, and don't think that goes unnoticed. With my mom living away, you truly are the one I rely on. You pick up the pieces for us all of the time, we rely on you so much and not once have you ever turned us away. We could not survive if it wasn't for you. Thank-you for your example, thank you for raising the son that you did and then handing him over to me. Love you, more than you know. Thank my father in heaven every day that I was guided into your home and into your family. Love, love, love you!!
To all you moms, mommy's to be, moms in the future, basically just any woman who possesses the angel-like qualities that moms are made of....happy mothers day!!

I'll toast to that! Good post! I love my mom :)
Sweet post Ter, you definitely got lucky when two of the greatest women in the world as mothers. I love what you said about smelling mom's side of the bed, it is so true. The other night Luke was crying in the middle of the night all I had to do was put my hand on his head and he quieted down, it made me think how whenever I am sad all I need is a hug from mom and everything feels better. There is just somethings you never grow to old for, and your mothers touch is one of them. Love you mom and Maria!
