18 months (maybe 19)

My sweet babe. Can I still call him my baby? He seems anything but a baby lately. Can't believe he is this old already. Breaks my heart, especially cause there will be no baby coming into our home for quite sometime. I want to hold on to this one for as long as I can. Decided to do a quick update on my little precious. He is changing and growing oh so much!

Good heck, I love this kid!! I can't even describe the feeling I get when I look at him. He has been a complete delight from day one, I used to kid around with Thiago that he is my therapy. Anytime I am having a grumpy day I go pick up my boy, he instantly snuggles right in, lays his little head on my shoulder and says "maa-ma" in his sweet little voice. Oh that baby...I am completely enamored by him.

He is getting so much personality. His presence just fills our home with so much joy. He can say a handful of words now. Maa-ma(he drags it out, cutest thing), daddee, owie, cu-cu (yucky), oh-no, uh-oh, ball, baby, ju (juice or milk), cannie (candy), side(outside) vovo, tia (both portuguse words), tarsy (carson),

Mastered the stairs. He has been able to crawl up for awhile now, is just getting the hang of going down. He is so funny cause he is so incredibly cautious about it. He moves so slow and deliberate...which is great, its just funny.

Snuggles anything and everything. Loves to plop himself down on pillows and blankets and just cuddle right in.

Outside. Like any 1 year old kid he loves to be outside. The minute I say "lets go", he runs to his room, stands by the drawer I keep his little shoes in, reaches his little hand up and yells "side, side" (outside). Cutest thing ever. Put him down in the garage and he just takes off. Loves to be out and about.

Started the ever so enjoyable habit of feeding himself. Will not eat unless he is holding the fork or his food. It is so much fun. Uh no, it is not. Makes me crazy. Not to mention my good little eater has turned into a picky little eater. I knew it was too good to be true to have a kid that actually eats well. What is with my kids...why do they think food is not required. AHH!

Gives the sweetest little kisses. Makes the "SMACK" sound and everything.

Oh, and did I mention he loves his mama? Cause he does.

Starting to play more and more with his brothers. They will get out different bins and sit all together and play.

He loves his Carson. If I am busy or not around for some reason and he is feeling sad, he will snuggle right up to that older brother. And Carson is so ridiculously good to him. How blessed they are to have each other.

Doesn't mind playing by himslef either. Little brother is just fine doing his own thing. Loves this yellow table, he will bring over his little treasures and sit here forever.

See..loves this table.

Loves it.

(noticed something about these pictures as i got this post ready. In most of the pics, Drake is in pj's, has no pants, or is just in a diaper. Appearantly I don't dress my youngest...hmmm)

Now this was sad. He got pink eye. Oh my goodness, his eyes were a mess. So sad. We had to put drops in his eyes, twice a day for two weeks. This is a picture of him right after we put the drops in. So pathetic. He would just lay there like this, with his eyes closed for like 5 minutes after Thiago put them in. So sad.

Fabulous sleeper. My best so far. We don't hear a peep out of him throughout the entire night. Half the time he sleeps better than my 7 year old. He is seriously so great.

In other news, his crib busted. We knew it was on its last leg. We will have to buy another one if we have another baby, which is a bummer. My sister let me borrow hers for the next little bit until I am ready to switch him to a big boy bed. (This is his little spot on the floor, he actually slept there until we could get the new crib set up. We just stacked a few pillows around the edges so he wouldn't roll off and he was good to go.)

I could go on and on about this sweet boy of mine, but I think we'll stop there. What a joy he is to our family. Sure love our littlest love.

What a sweet little addition he is to this family!
