He's 30...and I'm next

Ughh...thirty. 30! THIRTY!! How in the heck did we get this old. It is seriously so depressing to me. Thiago I don't think even blinked an eye. He must not care. I was in mourning though. Big time. Cause you know what, 4 more months and I am right behind him. Maybe I am kinda vain, in fact I know I am. I just don't want to leave my twenties. Its a sad, sad thought to me. It is what it is though, and on September 8th, my love turned the big 3-0!

So I pushed back my sad thoughts, put on a pretty orange shirt and made the best of it with him. Cause he's totally worth it, and I am super proud of the person he has become at thirty years old. He is one heck of a husband/dad, and I am so grateful that he is mine. I feel bad cause it was a Saturday, which means I worked in the morning. Which means he played single dad with all 3 boys. 2 of which had early morning soccer games, and him coaching as well. Poor guy. Not very relaxing but he didn't mind. He loves to be with them and he did just fine. Once I got home from work, I was trying to get our home and the boys ready for his little get together that night, so unfortunately that means I started barking out orders to him. Do this, get that, check on this.... Needless to say, he wasn't spoiled much during the day. He stayed pretty busy.

We met up with both of our families at Tepanyaki that night for his birthday dinner. He chose the place. We hadn't been in forever, so we were really excited.

The boys love this place. Who doesn't if you are a kid. They are amazed that they just cook it right there in front of you, Lincoln got a titch nervous at the begining when they light the stove and the fire comes up. Drake however was loving it. Hugest smile the entire time. Carson informed us at the end that when he grows up he wants to be that kind of chef. Haha. Last thing he told me he wanted to be was a builder like Papa Dean, so he can build giant legos. So he wants to be a contractor or an Asian chef. Will see which way he goes. Ha!

Birthday dessert, which of course he didn't touch. He is not a big fan of icecream. Drake finished that off for him.

After dinner we loaded up to go back to our house for cake and icecream. My mom and Dean had been out riding the Harley all day. My boys take any chance they get to sit on that big ol' motorcycle and pretend. Heck, so did the birthday boy. Boys and bikes, so silly.

I decided to come up with a little game to play real quick, I normally don't do games..not really a game person. However, I figured it was his 30th, kinda a big deal, might be fun. So I came up with 20 questions all about him and we played a little "who knows him best". Things like dream car, first job, favorite sports team. Of course I didn't play, wouldn't have been fair. I put together a little popcorn bucket/candy prize for the winner. Everyone did surprisinly well. His mom ended up winning, but Ashley, my sister in law Shalae and his brother were all up there. It was a ton of fun, so crazy seeing what everyone's answers were. Loved it.

His present. He is still on a major kick of decorating his office. Gave him a small framed pic of the boys, and then his favorite soccer team (Corinthians) framed. This was a total win, by him and his dad. They both loved it and Regi wants one of his own. I say as long as it isn't hanging in my house..hehehe. His decorating skills are not welcome there.

Singing Happy Birthday....Happy Birthday babe. Love you!

Happy Birthday Thiego! It's crazy for me to think we are almost 30...I'm not quite ready for the 20's either. Looks like he had a great birthday, such a cute family!

Teri, I LOVE your orange shirt. It's so adorable, where did you find it?

Happy birthday Theo, sorry I wasn't there, such a naughty sister I am. Frankly I am a little surprised there wasn't any bashing me in this post the way you carried on about it that day...he he.

The day looked perfect, Ter I love the idea of your game, I will have to remember that one, maybe for the big 40!
