To bad Mothers Day comes just once a year...so nice to be spoiled by your family and have your husband and kids take care of you for a day, rather than the other way around.
Started off our day by going to church. Lincoln was relatively good during Relief Society (last week with the little monkey, next week he heads off to nursery). There were many great talks on mothers, Carson made me a little present, and all of us ladies got a little thing of flowers. Very nice.
Carson's little presents to me...he gave me the little flower and a spoonful of kisses that he made at preschool. And the little questionaire he did at primary. I laughed so hard at his answers.
How old is your mom? 5
What is your moms favorite color? pink and purple
What is your most favorite meal that your mom cooks? Soup (and by this he means Campbells car soup in a can, yeah he hates my cooking.)
What do you like to do with your mom? Go to church with her (hmmmm, really)
What color of eyes does your mom have? blue-green
What is your mom's favorite thing to do? pick her flowers (what can I say, I have been a little obsessed with my yard lately)
I just love little things like this, I know I will look back on this one day and smile and probably cry just a little.
We headed to my moms for a BBQ. The kids had so much fun zooming down her steep driveway on their little cars and scooters. I love to just sit on her patio and chat with my sisters and mom, it was a perfect afternoon. I gave my mom the next book in a series she is reading and a little bookmark.
After that we went to my brother and sister in laws house to see my sweet mother in law. I got talking too much there and sadly didn't take any pictures. Oh well.
A great day celebrating motherhood. So grateful for the moms in my life that have made such an impact on me...love you both so very much. And these 2 little monkeys, well I sure love ya and am grateful every single day to be YOUR mom.
