See this guy...

I love him alot. Just a quick note for my honey to read. Warning, its going to be mushy and probably a little braggy so if that bugs, stop reading now. However, I am more concerned about HIM reading it, and us looking back and reading it so I am going to write it anyways.

I just have to say, how very proud I am of this man. He just got a promotion at work, which is always a good thing. However, its not so much the promotion I am proud of but more of the way he got there and the way he provides and rules over our little household. It was kind of a tough decision for us for a lot of different reasons. Right now he is in the sales department, which is what he is graduating in, what he loves doing, and what he's been doing for the past 5 years. The new position is a district SERVICE manager, which doesn't have a thing to do with selling. He was on the sales side and now he is on the service side....managing other employees. Since he is now considered management, his base salary of course went up, however he now is no longer able to receive commission. This is kind of a bummer, cause he has got some pretty good commission checks. However we are hoping with the raise of his salary, things will even out. However, we still know that even if he ends up making a little less...this was still the right decision for us. Its what he needed to do, if he wants to continue to work up. Whether with Unifirst, or with someone else. Now he has both sides under his belt, sales and management. Its a good thing.

What I love about this whole little situation, is the way he handled it all. He brings the situation to me, we sit down and go over all the pros and cons, we talk, and we talk, and we talk. We budget and plan and analyze until we are absolutely sick. We prayed, and together we came to the decision. I am so glad I married a man, who knows that we are a team. That we face everything together and every decision is made with BOTH of us feeling like it is the right thing to do. I am so grateful for his ambition and drive. Sometimes I think about how stressful it must be, being the one to provide for our family. I think for any man out there it is a heavy load to carry. Knowing you are the one who puts food on the table and a roof over your family's head. Never once, have my children had to go without. I always find it ironic, that Thiago is the one that makes all the money, yet he never spends a dime of it. He drives around in an old car, so that the kids and I can drive our nice car. He is willing to pack a lunch each day, so I can take the kids to Mcdonalds or the food court or Cafe Rio. He never buys new clothes, but never blinks an eye when I come home with arm loads of new things. I guess what I am trying to say, is honey...thank-you. Thank-you for all you do, for all you provide, for being the absolute kindest, most gracious, loving husband and father that we could ever ask for. I am grateful every single day that you are mine, and love you more with every passing day. Love you monkey....
