Instead....we got this:
Before we had kids we ate out at the sit down restaurants. You know Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Outback. Then Cars and Lincoln came along and it changed to fast sit down...Cafe Rio, Zupas, Tony's, 5 guys...that kind of thing. I don't know what it is about this third baby of ours, but we just don't dare go out. Too close to Lincoln's bed time, the baby's fussy time, and quite honestly it's just to much work. I cook for my family every weeknight, but I don't do weekends. Gotta have a break, which leaves us with takeout. This weekend was Wingers.
Then we rush to get the babies all bathed and jammied up.
And we read stories, give kisses, say prayers and tuck those sweet little ones into bed.
Then we settle in our bed and get caught up on our shows from the week or watch a Red Box or something. I know, exciting right?? Our weekends are basically like our weeknights (besides the takeout, haha).
In other news...I had a few comebacks this week. I am officially back into my normal daily life routine. What life was like before the precious babe.
To start it out, we have this...
Welcome back P90. I actually started this up last week, but its back none the less. This was my workout before I was pregnant, I kinda felt like it was a bit much during the pregnancy and just didn't have the energy for it. So while pregnant, I just power walked my 4 miles each day instead of P90. Up until November, then I did absolutely nothing. Needless to say, P90 kinda kicked my butt that first week. I'll get there. I hate this part of trying to get back to your pre-baby body. It kinda sucks. Does feel good to be exercising again though.
I also returned to work this past weekend. I know I have mentioned it before, but I work Fridays and half a day Saturdays as a loan officer. It is just 15 hours a week and I love it. I truly am so grateful for my job. It is so incredibly part time, that I still feel like a stay-at-home mom. However it gets me out of the house for a day, lets me get dressed up, talk to adults, see my friends ( I work with some of the greatest people) and earn a little money. My mother in law watches the kids on Fridays and they are with Thiago for the half a day Saturday. Which I think is great for him. So, yeah...I love it. Quite honestly it was good to be back. By Thursday night I am so ready for a break, but by Saturday afternoon I am missing my babies so bad and am so excited to be home with them. I truly feel like those hours away make me a better mom. Makes me appreciate them more, and gives me a little me time.
I did miss this baby of mine though. And he missed me. Lets just say he did not take to his bottle well that first day. Even though it was my milk, he did not appreciate the way he was receiving it. He got better as the day went on, and by Saturday he was just fine.
Drake and I also returned to church on Sunday. Thiago and Carson have been going but me and the babies have been staying home. My calling is in the nursery and I wasn't about to take Drake in there. So my sister (who is in my ward), keeps Drake with her in Relief Society while I am in nursery. Thanks Ash!
What a great family shot. Thiago's head is cut off, can't see Carson, Lincoln did not want to be in the picture, and Drakey's little white tongue is sticking out. I think all 4 boys were hating me and my attempt at this shot.
I know...precious right.
Oh sweetness...it kills me.
There you go, our weekend in a nutshell.

Sounds like life at my house but I only have one little babe. I can't even imagine trying to go to a restaurant with 3, I'm sure it just takes adjusting. You look really cute! I also loved working only 20 hours a week, I sure do miss that adult human interaction! Your kids are sure precious, I agree!
Our weekends are about the same as yours!
You don't look like you have any weight to lose!
It is so nice to get back to normal life! You look great and I love all of the pictures!
Your freakishly long arms just can't cut it anymore for family pictures now that it has grown to five!
Wingers, you guys are not usually WIngers people, what made you chose there?
You look lovely I hate you and your P90 or whatever it's called. Make me feel like a huge old slug.....
Going out is a lot of work! Every time we go out with the boys, we swear it will be the last time! I'm seriously impressed you do P90. My husband has P90X. I tried it a few times and it kicked my butt. I'll stick to my Turbo Jam and treadmill. You look great!! Ü
i think its a good mom who will sacrifice her weekends and whole life for her babies! it shows your dedication! i can't believe you're doing P90X teri...you're already in great shape! heavens woman, you make me look lazy! ha ha
Sounds like a great weekend. Life is not always about having to run around and do everything and be with everyone. Staying home is great with your kids. I love the weekends we fix our own pizza and make memories watching movies instead of rushing. Who cares!!! It may not be exotic but it is precious time at home together. You look great!!! You don't even need to exercise you little twig!!!
Gotta love kids, taking the kids out is not relaxing I would rather cook! Our weekends are the same except filled with sports lol
You are so tiny, but I know what you mean it feels good to work out!
Cute post...love the pictures, especially Carson with the styrofoam containers...that one made me laugh. However, I truly am a fan of those styrofoam containers...means Stevie has brought the restaurant home to me...it's an old age thing. Love you.
