Spring Cleanin'

Yep, its true. You are reading this correctly, I have reached an all time low and have actually dedicated a whole post to cleaning. Pretty sure I will have a total of 2 people who actually read this post. One being my mom, the other being my sister. Doesn't matter, my blog....I post what I want, and about what I like. And I like clean. So here goes.

I have done the whole back end of my house. I previously posted pictures of my clean bathrooms so I will leave those out. Now I have done my bathrooms, my room and closet, the boys' room, Drake's room, and the hallway. Which still leaves my kitchen, family room's, laundry room, carpets, windows and blinds. Yikes, still sounds like alot.

For me, spring cleaning entails going through all closets and dressers and re-organizing, moving all furniture and vacuuming behind, scrubbing walls and floorboards, light fixtures and just the obvious stuff like dusting and windexing.

Oh and by the way, I didn't make Carson help me. He wanted to. What can I say, like mother, like son. We aren't afraid of a little scrubbin'



Boys' room




More of the same, except their room has ALOT more toys. Which means a few new bins and alot of dejunking. Toys clutter fast and we like things nice and tidy.


My closet


This was a project. First you gotta pull everything out, and I do mean everything.


Then I carried all my winter stuff down to storage (unfortunately my closet isn't big enough to hold both summer and winter). Although thanks to 50 degrees high today, I am still wearing winter stuff. Annoying.


I worked in sections. Pulled part of the closet out, scrubbed, then piled everything back in. Nice and neat.




Much better. Gotta say, Thiago was flipping through our camera and pretty much thought I had gone crazy when he saw a bunch of pictures of our closet. He didn't get it.


Our bedroom


Started with washing our bedspread....love the smell of a freshly washed quilt.



More of the same, moving furniture and scrubbing. Next little bit of extra money that comes my way, I am spending on my bedroom. Time for a new look, I am sick to death of this crap.




and my pretty hallway. Love the feeling of everything being clean. Makes me very happy.


And now, to save this post from being a complete disappointment I will leave you with some pictures of the kids and how they entertained themselves while I cleaned my room.

which resulted in hours and hours of fun. What kid doesn't love this.


Soon enough Drakey-bug, soon enough and you can join in on the fun. For now why don't you just sit there all cute like, and enjoy your surroundings. Yep, thats just what you did.
