Dad's Day!

Woke up to rain...then again we weren't surprised, we knew it was coming. Another holiday ruined by the rain. Then again there is a certain beauty to rain, especially rain in June. Everything is so green, colorful and alive in my yard right now. And the rain just seemed to make it all shine. It was quite pretty and refreshing.

Perfect excuse for these boys of mine to lounge around and watch cartoons in the morning. I of course never get that luxury, especially on a Sunday morning. To many million things to be done. Sure am glad that our daddy got to though.

What handsome little men.

Not sure what this little move would be called...what a weird dad.

I still kinda love him though...weirdness and all.

We got home from church and Cars put the finishing touches on his present.

My sister found a little dad questionaire online and Cars had a fun time filling it out. Thiago had a fun time reading his answers. Haha.

Ohhhh, I love things like this. I know I will treasure these types of things someday. Someone tell me, can't I just keep my boys little. Do they have to grow up??

We also gave Thiago a Manchester United jacket that he totally loved. Although, honestly I think he loved his little questionaire more. He is a true family man.

We then headed up to this cute little house that I love. My grandparents, to see my dad. I have a lot of good memories that all center around this little house and the people it belongs to. Happy moments, and I am always so glad to give my kids a little piece of that.

My dad. Sure do love him, grateful for his role in my life. Its hard being the child of divorced parents. However, I know he has always done the best that he can and I love him for that. I know no matter what I am his little girl and he is always there for me. I always hope he knows how much I love him.

I love the quaintness of my grandparents. I love to kick my feet up with my honey on their little backporch swing.

And watch my boy shoot hoops from the driveway.

Last but certainly not least, we headed to my inlaws. Had to give my father in law, a fathers day hug. He's the one that taught my honey how to be a dad. I am forever grateful for that. He's a good man, the best there is.

Just ask Drakey-bug. I know he would agree.

Now I am off to bed. I have a 5-year old, who is turning 6 tomorrow. Big day, and we got to be rested.

See ya later....

Looks like you were up late for your post too. Honestly how many holidays this year have been ruined by rain, though for some reason it didn't bother me on Sunday. Weird...

We will see you in just a few hours, Carson's BFF is so excited he couldn't sleep last night. I am surpirsed he is not up yet chopping at the bit to get going!

Happy Birthday to Carson! How fun.
I know what you mean about wanting them to just stay little though!!!!

I always thought you and Jen looked like your Mom, but oh my gosh, now I think you both look just like your dad. Well, no, you look a lot like both! I think that's neat.

Sounds like you made time to celebrate all of the fathers in your life. How sweet.
