Carson sure did enjoy his break. I picked him up from school on Friday, and he pumped his little hands in the air and said "yes, I get a lonnnng break...3 whole days my teacher said". I laughed and then he said in all seriousness, "I really need it mom, I have been working soooo hard at school....every single day I have to go."
Ha-ha, funny boy. Just you wait Cars, just you wait.
Here's a glimpse at our weekend...how was all of yours??
Me and the babes were on our own Friday night. Thiago's soccer team was in a tourmament last week, so he had a game that night and then he went out to dinner with some friends afterwards. So me and the boys had a pancake dinner, early baths and piled in my bed in our jams and watched "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs", well part of it. I guess I had some tired boys that night, cause a half hour into it and they were all sound asleep. Which meant the rest of the night was all mine, a quiet house and a little HGTV. Pretty nice.
Sweet boy, he really caught up on his sleep Saturday morning. The week had caught up with him and he just slept the morning away. And of course we let him.
My mother in law gave Carson some money to go buy himself a prize for doing so well at school his first week. $10.00 in ones. He thought he was pretty cool. The money was practically burning a whole in his pocket and he begged and begged Thiago to take him to the store on Saturday to pick out a toy.
Of course she couldn't leave Lincoln out so she gave him some money as well and they both picked out Transformers. What else. They are currently in a Transformer obssession. We eat, sleep and breathe these autobots. Sorry to my sisters...Carson has introduced them to his cousins and we are all in the middle of a Transformers craze. Bet you can't guess what Halloween will bring....
I got to hang up some new artwork on my pantry door...thanks to Kindergarten. Oh, and Lincoln's nursery class at church. The little fold up paper is his, ya know with one blue line running down it. That is his extent of coloring.
Whipped up some peanut butter bars...oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate...oh yes, yes, yes.
Thiago had another soccer game Saturday night in Bountiful so he stopped at Mo Bettah's on his way home...yay, for take-out. Especially Mo Bettah's.
Later that night, after we got the kids to sleep. I headed over to my sisters house so she could slap some new color on me. We may or may not have consumed a few peanut butter bars while I processed.
Oooh, lovely...gotta love the lift a fresh highlight brings.
Sunday our cute neighbors and friends blessed their baby girl in church and they had a little lunch at their house afterwards that we were invited to. Fixed up a plate of my bars and took them on over.
We decided to have one last summer BBQ on Monday night. Just family and our same cute neighbors. I made my moms famous baked beans. I had never made them before and they turned out quite well. Tasted just like hers, and I was very pleased with myself.
This boy loves to help...he is a planner and prepper just like his mama. My little sidekick in big events. What a great kid.
No help here...his main goal is just to have fun. Which is just fine. Only young once baby, live it up.
Well, well, well...what do we have here. Is that a little Mr. Drake sitting on his own. Why yes, yes it is. He mastered it people...finally. He was a little slow but he got there. Good job little guy.
I hate the end of summer, always so hard to say goodbye to scenes like this...for another year anyways.
Good job Carson and Molly...thanks for being the only kids to smile at the camera.
And thank-you weather for raining on my BBQ...thank heavens for canopy's and the fact that it didn't last long.
What better way to end the night than with Smores...
So that was my weekend...it was a good one. Now we are right smack in the middle of another crazy, busy week. Isn't that just life though...have a good one my friends.

Looks like a fun Labor Day! I loved what Carson had to say about school, too cute! He really doesn't know how much more he has to go, probably better that way ;) I am with you, I feel like a new person when I get my hair done. It looks really cute! I am sad that summer is already over as well, glad you had one last kick off! Those smores look delicious!
What a fun weekend!!! You know what we did for labor day? We cleaned our carpets. After talking about it with you on Saturday I couldn't get it out of my head. So we went and rented a carpet cleaner and our carpets cleaned up very nicely!!! Tell Jenny thanks for the idea. Although our walmart does not rent carpet cleaners. We had to go to Smith's.
