with this goofy guy. Gotta love him and his ability to never take my pictures seriously. I say smile and this is what I get. He says he feels weird being in picture by himself...so I get this instead. Oh well, I'll take it I guess.
Unfortunately when you are a grown-up (which he is cause 29 is REALLY old) life doesn't stop when it is your birthday. For the most part it was just a long old normal day for him. We tried to spruce it a bit for him though, ya know so he felt special and all. He actually kinda got 3 birthday celebrations so you can't complain about that.
He worked all day and then had a soccer game that night for La Roca. I know I have mentioned it on here before but he coaches competition soccer for La Roca. Now that fall session has started up I no longer see him. Oh well, it won't always be this crazy.
Me and the boys decided to go with to this game to show our support. I honestly don't make it to many of his games. Alot of them fall on Saturdays when I am at work and the others are always on weeknights, when I am right in the middle of dinner, baths, homework, bedtimes. So ya know, not many.
It's always interesting to me to see him in his coaching element. I may have to retract my previous statement about not much getting him riled up. I guess soccer brings out his nasty side. Not with his team...with the refs, the other team and his assistant coach. Carson and I gave each other quite a few looks as we listened to him yell and stomp around. Kinda funny.
my boys did what they do best...snack,
be goofy,
play,
blow little spit bubbles,
and smile for all of their admirers. Of course Drakey bug always gathers quite a bit of attention. People really like him...I can see why.
We came home and had a quick dinner then did cake and icecream with some of our extended family. It actually was Smore bars which he likes a lot better than cake. So whatever...birthday boy gets his choice.
We then went on to light the candles an additional three thousand times so each child in attendance could blow them out...over and over again. Bunch of pyro's.
opened up a few presents which were mostly clothes, except for...
this. He is always telling me that he is the only one at his office without pictures on his desk. Which is quite sad, considering he has been there for 6 years. The goof. So I put this together for him.
And he loved it. And I love how much he loves it. It's very sweet...he is a proud daddio.
Saturday night we met up with more family for dinner at Tony's. His most favorite pizza. I love it too. I don't know if it more for the memories or the food. He first took me there back in high school and it is kinda our place. Ya know how certain places just remind you of times and situations...this is just a happy place for us.
Thats pretty much all the pictures I took there, wasn't really in the mood. I was too hungry and Lincoln was bugging me.
After dinner, my mother in law was nice enough to take our big boys home with her so Thiago, Drake and I could meet up with Ash and Souli for a movie. We saw Contagion...it was weird. Kinda makes you never want to leave your house or touch anything. Definetly not a happy, feel good movie.
And thankfully it bored little Drakey bug right to sleep. Love taking this kid to movies, he never disappoints. Always an angel.
And that takes us to Sunday dinner at my mother in laws. Thiago chose the meal...lasagna, chicken parmesan, rice, salad and garlic bread. And of course his precious pave (no idea how to spell that). It's Brazilian. Basically angel food cake, layer of sweet and condensed milk carmelized, layer of chocolate, whip cream and repeat. It is his absolute favorite!
And there you go...happy birthday babe. Have a great 29th year!

You think 29 is old?! You just wait. There will be a day when you are wishing you were 29 again! =)
As for Jakob being cute. Too bad he's too much of a wierdo for girl's to like him. Not that I'm complaining. I hope it is a long time before he discovers his like of girls.
Tony's is my favorite! Love their salads, their pizza, and their meatball subs! mmm.
Anyway, happy birthday to Tchiago. Those smores bars look amazing!
I love reading your blog. You are such an amazing wife and mother. Everything is always so cute. And I agree that those smore bars look fabulous. You should post the recipe.
Aww, sweet post Teri.
My husband loves soccer. He played all through high school and even younger, and older. Loved it. I bet our husbands could talk soccer forever. :)
Cute gifts you gave him.
Yummy looking dessert too! :)
You got a little sun flare on that soccer field picture, nice job Ter.
I also see that you have spent some time at McDonald's because I recognize the toy which is sad.
We never did discuss the movie then, did you like it or was it just weird?
Four of the most handsome boys around. I could especially eat that little one up...I have the biggest urge for him right now. Need a sitter???
Can't believe how fast all the boys are growing up - especially T. 29? Wow you guys haven't even hit 30 yet?? (I'm so old....)
I LOVE that Thiagos 'cake' was S'Mores bars. Those are friggen awesome! HB to TC
