Island Park...Part 2

Okay..second round of Island Park pictures. The next day we went out on some little river, not sure the name of it. We rented 3 big rafts and headed down. It was so shallow in parts that you could feel the rocks on the ground through the raft. That was just fine with me though, it was so tame that it was completely safe for little kids.

Here we are at the dock before heading out. I didn't take my camera with me on the rafts. Our family has had one to many bad experiences with cameras and water lately, that I decided it wasn't worth it. (Tam and Jill, aren't you proud). So the only pictures I have are before we set out. As I have mentioned Carson loves water, he could have stayed all day.


All of us cousins...we have 11 girls and only 4 boys in our family. However, all of the great grandkids so far have been boys, Ashley's will be the first girl. So we are becoming a bit more even. I love these cousins of mine, we have always been so close..they are the cutest girls alive and I love them so much!


I liked this picture of my little family, I think the scenery behind us is so pretty!


Next day, we went and did a little more shopping. Of course, as I mentioned we have a lot of girls..and girls love to shop! After that we headed up into actual Yellowstone Park. I had not done this since I was little, so I loved it!


On the way in, we stopped at a little picnic area and ate lunch. Why does food taste so much better when you are outside. At least to me it does. Carson fell asleep so I just made him a little lunch for when he woke up. It was so dang cold, at least it felt cold compared to the hot weather we have been having. That night on the way home though, my cousins truck said it was 54 degrees outside. And to me, that is cold!!


Of course, you can't drive through Yellowstone without stopping at Old Faithful. I hadn't seen it in forever, so I thought it was pretty cool. Carson was more interested in playing in the rocks and dirt than they actual geyser. But to each their own, I guess!


Just a cute picture..we got icecream on the way out. And Carson is sharing his with Kamryn. How cute is that Kamryn, she has the sweetest little personality. Carson thought she was the greatest!



Here we are the next day, ready to head home. Well, I wasn't really ready but all good things must come to an end. Williams family, thank-you soooo very much for inviting us along. You guys all made this one of the greatest vacations I have ever had, we loved every minute of it. Thank-you again and we can wait for next year!!
