Our poor little guy had to go under the blue lights this past weekend. No worries though, just a touch of jaundice. When we left the hospital they thought he looked a little yellow, so they checked his billirubin levels and they were fine. However they told us to get him into our pediatrician within two days so they could check them again. We took him Friday to his doctor and they came back pretty high. Normal is 8-10, and Lincoln was at an 18. Yikes!! So, under the blue lights he went. They just brought the little bed to our home and hooked it up. Lincoln didn't really mind, he loves to be all snuggled in and this thing did a pretty good job of that. He would just lay there and look around and eventually fall asleep. I have hated it, I just want to hold him all the time and it was sad for me to not be able to. Especially sad for Thiago, I at least got him while I was feeding him. However Thiago hasn't held him in days. We took him twice more over the past few days to have the levels checked and finally this morning he got to be done. They are back down where they should be. Now all is well in his little world again.
Just sucking away on that bink...he loves it!
Here is the little device, it is called a billibed. So clever. He just lays in there and you pull up the little sheet things around him and cover him with blankets. Not to bad.
All better, back to his little pink self.

Oh that is the saddest! When Barrick had to go under the lights in the hospital I just cried! He had to wear the goggles and he couldn't have any clothes on so that billibed is pretty awesome! I LOVE the pictures he is such a pretty little baby!
He looks so cute all snuggled in there, that's not really what I had in mind but very convienant. I am just so happy he doesn't have to be in that on Thursday I would not have been to happy to not get to hold my little guy, so yeah for him and me that he is finished with that billibed.

That is so nice you could have one at your house. Kade had jaundice that week he was in the NICU it's so sad when they poke their little heel to check their billirubin levels. I'm glad his levels have gone down, and you can hold and cuddle him again!
He just needed a little tan. jk. My little brother had to use one but he had to wear protective glasses because it was like an incubator. They have come far in the last 12 years LOL I am glad he is off it and you guys can snuggle him!!
Poor little guy he looks so different already. It does look like a pretty comfortable little bed though. I'm so glad he is all done with that.
He is SOOOO cute!!! I'm glad all is going well now, its so cute that Carson is so excited!!
Austin had to be in a bed, but wow now they have cool beds! He had to be naked and cold in this "suitcase" with lights and well it was aweful! He is darling and I am glad he is getting over his jaundice
Glad all is well with the little guy. He looks perfect now. Tell Carson he really is such a good big brother.
Oh, how sad! Glad he is fine now. He is adorable Teri, it makes me want my baby even more now. They sure do grow up really fast though!
What a neat little thing they have to let you take care of jaundice at home! Poor Tiago, I bet he's super happy to be able to hold Lincoln again. He is so cute!
I feel for you, I hated it when Mitchell had to go on the lights, and it was so frustrating! I am glad everything is back to normal, that is the worst. At least with Mitchells his was a blanket so we could still hold him.
