Fathers Day Gifts

Oh poor Fathers Day. Always gets very overshadowed by Carson's B-day. This year his birthday falls on fathers day exactly, in the past it has just been close. I have been going crazy all week trying to get ready for the big #4. Oh, four years old. Where has the time gone, my baby is going to be 4. SIGH...anyways that is neither here nor there, I will get back on track. As I said, going crazy with all my party plans, wish I could be someone who just does things small. However, that is not me. I always try to do to much and stretch myself very thin. I am feeling it this week. In all my craziness, I almost forget about Fathers Day. Luckily for me, I have a cute sister who came up with the idea for Candy bar posters for our dear ol' dads!

We all got together for a few hours this afternoon to put them together. Of course the boys were oh so helpful. Most of them spent the entire time crying because we wouldn't let them eat the candy. Carson spilled an entire box of Nerds all over Ash's kitchen. Brev wouldn't get off the counter and kept stepping on our posters. Oh the joys, please tell me they will remember the effort we put forth into these activities.

Hard at work people, couldn't even smile for the camera. I was kinda in charge of it all. I am the one that bought all the candy. We made 5 posters with 10 candybars each. Felt kinda weird buying all that. I also came up with the sayings, I am very clever like that. You are welcome Jen and Ash.

Finished product...CUTE, absolutely cute! Carson's exact words when I showed him were "Oh my". Not sure what he meant by that, he just raised his eyebrows and said it. No worries though friends, I already told Thiago he can't read my blog until Sunday and the poster is hiding in my basement. So we are good.

Baby boy is 7 months old today. The months are just flying on by. Every day I grow more and more in love with him. Oh, just every little thing about him. His sweet smell, that big smile, the way his little hands play in my hair as I am feeding him. Love my littlest one, so very much. It has been such a delight having him in our home. Happy 7 months old my littlest love!!

I didn't know Carson said that, oh my that is so funny, what a goof he is I can just see him what that in awe epression he gets. I don't think mine is ruined the candy has hardened up again, so at least it looks alright even if it does look weird when the candy is opened. I am just such an idiot, why don't I think of these things!

That's such a cute idea! All of the fathers will love them. You can tell you put such love into them. They look like they took a lot of time to come up with the sayings.
