I can't believe that I'm sitting here typing this message to my 4 YEAR OLD. Time has flown by so fast. It seems like yesterday that I brought you home from the hospital and you were so tiny in my arms when I rocked you at night. Now you are my handsome little guy that is my best little friend. Carsy boy, words can't express how much I love you. Everything I do in life is for our family and my greatest blessing is to have you as my little boy. It doesn't matter how old or big you get you will always be my little Carsy boy. I have only known you for four years of my life but I can't imagine my life without you. My favorite part of the day is when I come home and see your sweet little face and hear your little voice and how excited you get. I am so proud to be your dad and even though you are still so little I am so proud of you and what a good boy that you are and I want you to always remember that. I want you to always know how special you are to me and hope that no matter how big you get you will still be my little buddy. I love you my Carsy and hope you have a great birthday! Love Dad...

My boy...four years old. WOW!! What happened to my little baby, you are growing up right before my very eyes. How I love you. There is just something so special about your first born. You are the first little one that made me a mom. You and I are figuring out this whole parenting thing together. I know I make mistakes but I like to think I am doing a pretty good job. I must be, cause look at you. The other day we were sitting in the car with grandma, you said something to her. I can't remember what it was, just some sweet little remark. Grandma looked at me and smiled, and she just said "Teri, what a beautiful boy you have got there". I thought it was a funny thing to say, but she went on to say "not only on the outside but on the inside as well". My mind keeps going back to that. How true it is. You certainly are a handsome little fella, with such a beautiful face. However it is who you are on the inside that makes me swell with pride. Your kind nature, your natural ability to lead, the goodness of your heart. From the day you were born you have had the most enchanting little personality. You just draw people in, you aren't afraid to be different and to stand out. You look out for people and have such a sense of compassion. I know I should be the one teaching you, but I learn from YOU every single day. How did I get so lucky. As I look back over your life, I can't help but start to cry. So many countless moments of love and joy come to my mind. I hope you know how much I love you. There is nothing in this world I wouldn't do for you. I will be here for you every moment of your life, through the good and the bad. Know that I am behind you no matter what, that your dad and I will always be your biggest supporters. Our love is unconditional and you and your brother are the centers of our universe. Happy, happy birthday my sweet boy. Thank-you for four absolutely priceless years and a lifetime of more.
