First of all my sweet Grandpa Grover passed away on Memorial Day. I am a lucky girl and have been blessed with 4 sets of grandparents. So far only 1 now 2 grandpa's have passed away. My Grandpa Grover's health had been slipping in recent years, he has been struggling for awhile now so it is nice that he was able to slip on through to the other side. Where his poor body is at rest now. We will most defintely miss him here, but are so glad that he is in a better place. He was such a special man. Such a kind, gentle spirit about him. Always just laid back and content to watch the world go on around him. He holds a special place in my heart.
There is my Grandma in the pretty black dress. My heart always hurts for the surviving spouse, how lonesome it must feel to be left here without him. Hope she is doing okay.
Grandpa served in the navy during WW2. It was so neat to see the military pay their respects, and later go on to give Grandma the flag. It was an emotional ceremony and one that I am so glad I got to witness.
Me and Lincoln bug, who I must say was pretty dang ornery. Thanks to that little tike, I heard nothing of the funeral. A few bits and pieces, but for the most part we wandered the halls.
Carson found a sprinkler at the cemetery. What the crap, dream come true for him!
Next little item on the agenda. Carson's special Sunday morning with my dad. It was so cute and random, my dad called up on Saturday to ask me if he could pick up Carson Sunday morning and head up to Tremonton with him. I hesitated at first, cause of church and all but I then decided the memory they would be building together was more important. I said absolutely, he would love that. Sunday morning 8:00, papa shows up to pick up his boy. They headed off to have breakfast with my grandparents up in Tremonton. (My dad really was in a good mood, guess he didn't realize I was taking the picture right then.)
After breakfast they went to my Grandpa's farm to feed the horses. Look who ended up on one. My dad said he just jumped right up and sat on that horse. No hesitations at all, thats my boy. Cars in not a chicken when it comes to stuff, always willing to try new things.
Another shot of my little farm boy. I gave my camera to my dad as they were leaving so he could get me a few shots. Cute stuff. Thanks dad, for loving my little guy so much. He sure does love his papa, and he keeps talking about your little morning. Meant a lot to us.
Poor little Lincoln bug. Caught his first little illness. He has something called Roseola. Started with a high fever, once the fever breaks turns in to this lovely little rash. Kinda hard to see in the picture, but in real life. Yuck. I hate seeing my babies perfect little flawless skin, marked up like that. Makes me mad. It is supposed to only last for a few more days and he is not contagious after the fever went away. It hasn't really affected his mood a whole lot. A little crankier than usual, but all around still my happy little guy.
And last but not least, my honey is off to visit his homeland. Thiago left for Brazil this morning and will be gone for the next week. I am already missing him like crazy, but am so excited that he gets the chance to go home. He went with his mom, dad, Gus, Shalae and Rosemary. Basically everyone but me, to expensive for us. I would have had to pay for me and Carson's plane tickets and passports for all of us. Maybe next year. When I think about him going home like that, I almost start to cry. He has been here for 18 years, and hasn't yet had the chance to return to his country. He gets to see all of their family they left behind. I hope he has an amazing time and remembers every little detail so that I can hear all about it. Love you honey, missing you already. Enjoy every minute and know that your little family here at home is anxiously awaiting your return.
Oh one more thing, got a new calling for church last night. First counselor in the Young Women's. Crazy and I am going to be terribly busy but I am excited. Love the Young Women program. I had so much fun serving in it a few years ago and am excited for the oppurtunity to do so again. Well thats it for now.

Such a cute post. I love your little stories. Carson looks darling on the horse. Little dare devil. That was nice of dad. I will miss Thiago too. I'm so glad he was able to go back. He needs to see all of his family. Souli and I will take care of you while he is gone.
Happy and sad times...I guess that's what life is all about. Carson looks like a real little cowboy on the horse. Cute picture, and as always love to see and hear about your lives. Thanks for sharing.

First of all - I'm so sorry about the loss and grieving for your grandfather. It's always hard - even believing what we do...
Secondly - I hope you are doing ok without your honey. I entirely hate when I am away from mine. I suck at it. Even though it's super neat for him, and I hope he's having the trip of a lifetime. Someday your family will all go together, right?
