Weekend Getaway!

While the cats away the mice will play. Ha-ha...at least that is what it feels like the boys and I have been doing this past week. I have tried to keep us super busy, cause when I am busy I don't have time to sit around and miss my honey. I am proud to say I have not spent one single night alone in our house. My dear sisters have taken pity on me and let us invade their nights. I slept at Ash and Souli's house for the first couple of nights, then Jen's all weekend. Back to Ashley's tonight, and hopefully my man will be home tomorrow. His flight is standby so we will see. What can I say I am the world's biggest wimp, 26 years old and too chicken to stay by myself.

We attempted to take the boys to see UP this weekend. We got them all excited about it, get to the movie and what do you know sold out. We just did not have the hearts to tell them that, so we went and saw the 2nd Night at the Museum. Carson is not the smartest cookie out there, so I am pretty sure he thinks will still saw UP. Whatever he enjoyed it one way or the other.

Best friends, I hope they always stay that way.

My sweet brother in law kept this little monkey for me while we were at the movie. He wasn't exactly what you would call well behaved that night. So many thanks to Eric for watching him. Lets just say Eric may never step foot in that Walmart again. Sorry friend, but thanks so much. Love you for it.

This has pretty much been the best week of Carson's life. He has LOVED staying over at his cousin's houses and playing with them from sun up to sun down. He has been a little angel, I was a little worried we would get on each others nerves after a whole week without our dad. Not the case, he has been such a delight and has really taken my mind off missing Thiago.

While we were in Logan we went to visit sweet Gran.

She is so cute, we were only there for a few hours but she wanted to make sure our bellies were nice and full. The day before she went and got the makings for a nice little lunch. Chicken strips, cheetos, potato and macaroni salad and pickles. Carson's favorites. Thanks sweet Gran, we sure love you.

I have the weirdest kid. This is his favorite thing about visiting Gran. Her vacuum, not only does she let him play with it, she actually lets him turn it on and vacuum her whole house. Super annoying but I guess that is what Grandma's are all about. Letting your kids do stuff that mom most definitely says no to.

My sister the little culinary chef. This girl is always coming up with fun recipes. I love visiting her, I always leave 5 pounds heavier but thats okay. We had Hawaiian Haystacks. Love these things, Thiago hates them so I never make them. They were so good.

Apple fritters for dessert.

Smith family has quite the nighttime routine. Family scriptures and prayer, then they read two stories, sing two songs the little ones march right to their beds, hugs and kisses from mom and dad and they are out. Sorry Smith family, my rather rambuctious Carson is not on that great of a schedule. Kinda threw a wrench in your nice, neat routine. Hopefully we will be allowed back after all our late nights.

Anyways thanks family for all of your hospitality. I have had some fun days with you all and thanks to you guys I actually got some sleep. Rather than hovering in my bed scared to death of every sound I hear. Back to reality now, lets just hope my honey is on a plane right now flying back to the good ol' United States!

How much fun! I miss having fun staying up too late with my sisters (and the lil brother, too...). How awesome to have them readily available!

I can't stay alone either. I did it once when Devan was at high adventure camp with the scouts and I honestly didn't close my eyes until it was light outside. I bet you had way more fun staying with your sisters anyway.
