Our daddio took off to Boston this past week. 6 LONGGGGGG days spent with just me and two adorable children. I don't know what part I enjoyed the most....Lincoln falling out of the shopping cart at Old Navy, Carson crying every day (every SINGLE day) that he wanted to go stay with Ashley, my wonderful cold that I have literally had off and on since November. Appearantly I need more Vitamin C. All in all it was a joyous week. Yeah, right.
If you can't tell from his sad little face, he was none to excited to be leaving us. He had to go for work. It was a great oppurtunity for him and we are thankful for it, but we hate being apart from each other.
So what did I do while he was away...
A little of this...
Too much of this...
And way to much of this!!!
All while enjoying the company of these two.
We did try and throw a few fun things in there as well, I mean come on it was my birthday week for heaven's sake. How sad is that, no honey at home for my big 27. Sad, sad day.
Had some fun for ourselves celebrating Brev's third birthday.
Yep, thats both my boys sitting at a little pink princess table. Sorry babe, I had no control.
Got to meet up with my family for a little pre-birthday lunch. Yummy!
Kids got to play at Grandma's house after, their most favorite place on earth.
Carson and I made some super yummy, super gooey and super pink cupcakes for my birthday. They were delightful.
This is how his turned out. Don't judge them by there appearance, they were still very good. At least that is what I told Carson as I took a huge bite out of one.
Lincoln didn't discriminate. He opened right up for all that pink yumminess. Don't mind that I couldn't get him to take one bite of his dinner just 30 minutes before that. He's no dummy.
Finished product!
Actual birthday wasn't a total loss, somebody sent me some absolutely beautiful flowers. Honey brightened my day, even miles and miles away!
And my sweet sister took pity on me and invited us over for dinner where I blew out the candles on my cupcakes. Good times.
So the week didn't totally suck, but I am glad it is over. Thiago's plane should be landing right as I hit "publish post" and my guy will be here in no time. Thanks Ash for being my buddy these last few days, don't know what I would do without ya. We will go out and celebrate my birthday tomorrow with all of our family. Including a great big cake that my sweet mom in law is making. Yum...I'm excited!

Oh ter I am sorry! Sorry about the bad week...everything probably was magnified, because it was a birthday and your husband wasnt home! Those cupcakes do look yummy! And flowers...whose day wouldnt that brighten! I hope your weekend makes up for you no fun week!
I think we should've just skipped part of last week, of course not your birthday, but everything else. I am sorry that Thiago was gone for your birthday, that truly does suck. But those flowers are gorgeous. And thanks for reassuring me that I am not a bad Mom. You are right, things happen and we have no control over it.
Happy Birthday! Sorry yor hubby wasn't there for it! It's always a bummer when your husband has to go out of town!
So glad he is home Ter, you have been a sad little girl this week without your honey. At first I thought you let Cars frost all the cupcakes, I thought that sure doesn't sound like Teri I am glad to see you salvaged a few. Sorry your birthday was kinda crappy, but we will have fun tonight, it's our birthday weekend!
First of all.. Happy late Birthday!
Sorry that Thiago was not home. How sweet of him to still send flowers.
You have had a busy week, it is so sad when you are by yourself isn't it? Glad he make it home to you safe and sound.
Cute post Ter bear. I wish he was still go I miss my partner in crime. You are the best. I have the best sisters in the whole world.
Love the beautiful flowers and pink cupcakes...so refreshing to see some color during the winter months. Glad your man is home with you now. Love you.
I am glad to hear that there is other people in this world that when their husband is gone a lot you feel as though you are going to go crazy. Two kids should not be a lot but some days it is. You would also think you would have so much time on your hands and peace and quiet but it usually turns out not that way. I hate Josh being gone so much now working two jobs and being gone until late each night. My days seem to be a blur and by Friday night, watch out! I am a cleaning crazy mom ordering take out because I just can't handle one more mess! Glad your husband is home safe and sound and now you can celebrate your birthday!
I so so so know what you mean. Ster is gone so much, but I hate it even more each time he leaves. I keep thinking I am going to be one of those tough Army wives. That just push on thru and life goes on. but I pretty much sink in a hole till he returns. If it makes you feel better Ster missed my birthday this year to:(
