My Week

Well....what do you expect the week you first bring home a baby. Not to exciting...

feels like all I have done is mounds and mounds of laundry...notice Drake's pile in the middle, compared to the other boys. Why do newborns require so much laundry.

I've changed a whole lot of diapers..for two. Once again, why do newborns go through so many diapers. Nothing makes me more crazy when I change Drake, and 2 seconds later I hear his little explosion. What a waste of money.

I have picked up huge piles of toys. The boys seem to go crazy everytime I sit down to feed the baby. They get out every toy in the house.

I don't know what my normal is anymore, I know it takes time to get into a routine. Pretty much this week has felt like I am just treading water. Trying to keep up with these three. One ounce of normalcy has been taking Carson to and from school. I like consistency, I crave consistency. Hopefully we get back to that.

For the time being, my kids have eaten one to many kids meals this week. Today, I even forgot about lunch all together. All the sudden it was 3:00 and Carson was telling me he was starving. I looked at the clock and thought uh-oh. What kind of mom am I??

As far as Drake goes, he has been back and forth to the doctors getting his billirubin checked. It just has been jumping all over the place. I think it is finally on the downside though....14.2 today. Should be out of the clear.

He's been doing a little sunbathing at home to try and get rid of that yellow.

I'll admit, we have stayed in our pj's all day for a day, or maybe 2, or maybe 3.

Occasionally we make it into the shower...usually pretty happy about it.

Sometimes not so happy.

Still getting spoiled by friends and family who stop by for a visit and sometimes bring us food.

And last but not least we all enjoy a good cuddle with our little bug. Kinda nice laying low once in awhile with nothing on our schedules. Just time to be together and enjoy our little babe.

I leave you with a few favorites of my little mister.

This last one is his hospital picture...not bad for a hospital picture.

Ummm....are you trying to kill me. I am dying just dying over these pictures. Hi, these are all so lovely. Love the one of the boys in jammies, love the shower and Lincoln.

But mostly I am loving my baby, how stupid I was with you a lot of today and all I managed to do was peek my head in on the sleeping little mister. I hate errands, better yet Luke and I are at odds today. I will take the wee one, you take Luke, done deal?

Lovely post, just lovely....

I can't imagine having 3 kids, I'm sure it's a lot of work and takes time getting use to. I would love to have 3 kids though, we'll see! Drake is so darn cute, I just want to give him a big kiss looking at your photos, you guys make such cute kids!

I felt the exact same way a few months ago. It was summer when I had Kenzie so luckily I didn't have to get Kaylee off to school, but there were a lot of pj days. I am at normalcy now, it doesn't take long. Good Luck! I have to give you credit for even pulling out that camera, way more than I did!!

going for 2-3 kids was the hardest for me, it took awhile to get used to it and I won't lie it's always chaotic lol but also 3 times the fun! He is simply adorable

Oh I totally know how you feel. Its seems that going from to 2 to 3 is so much harder than 1 to 2. And staying in your pajamas all day is a pleasure in my book.

And that sweet little baby boy, he is so adorable. I love that cute face.

Sounds like a perfect week to me, if I do say so. I love all of your pictures - your boys are so cute! I can't imagine having one just yet, or two, and oh man - three! Yikes! You are doing just wonderfully... Someday I will get there, and I will have so many friends to give me great advice on how to handle it all!

Who cares that your kids don't bath or that you eat kids meal. Live it up and enjoy that baby. Life will get normal again one day. You know it will. These are lazy days to hold your baby, take naps, and stay in your pajamas. Live it up!!! My son would eat a kids meal everyday anyway I don't think they ever get sick of them.
