Black Island Farm...and a bit more

Same place we went to for Linc's preschool field trip, but this time we went back with our whole fam. Carson was devastated the morning of the field trip when he found out we were going there and he had to go to school. I promised him we would all go that weekend to make up for it.

This place is worth going to for the photography alone. Its just so "farmish" and "fallish". Cause those are words of course. Its a little pricey I think, but totally worth it. Just sets the mood for Halloween and autumn. Its the only place like this around us so on an unusually warm Saturday in October, it was packed! Things went much smoother the day I was there with Lincoln. Not too many folks out at 10:00 am on a Monday :)

Sweetest baby boy. Not to often I let the one year old roam free without his stroller. He kept looking at me like "you serious, I get to just walk". Ha! He was loving it...started with the farm animals. Here he is admiring a goat with grandma. Completely enamored.

Here he is laughing at his weirdo big brother. Lincoln was making weird calls to the goats. I thought it was odd, Drake clearly loved it though.

We spend most of our times at the slides. They all love it.

You have to climb little rope ladders to get to the top. Obviously Drake can't tackle that himself. And obviously he loved the slide. Which means I spent the better part of the evening standing at the top, reaching down to grab him from Thiago. I was more than ready to move onto a different activity.

This one is Lincoln's favorite. Big old barrel slide you come flying down. I like to stand at the bottom and laugh at people. You don't realize how loud you while IN the slide. People say and do some funny things coming down that slide. Haha.

I also find alot of interest in the treats they have available. Such as kettle corn. I just love kettle corn. I babysat this giant bag my mom bought. You are welcome mom, anytime.

Then there is anything deep fried. These were deep friend oreos. Luckily we just bought the one container full and shared them between like 10 of us. All you needed was a bite. Besides, we were going to dinner after.

After a few hours we were ready to go. The kids all had a great time. It was such a nice night as well. Not to cold and not too hot. Just pleasant.

One more event to talk about before the big day tomorrow...pumpkin carving!
We always get together with Ash and Souli and the kids and make a night out of it. Ash made delicious soup, I brought some breadsticks and a few other essentials...

Nothing speaks fall like apple cider and doughnuts. Yum!

Always a messy little activity, but still a Halloween must. Carson was very specific on his this year. Drew the face himself. Lincoln and Drake could have cared less, spent the evening playing with Ash's toys and stopped to take a picture. Although Drake wouldn't even part with his toys for that....

Gotta love it.
