This was Carson 2 days ago. Happy, energetic, rosy-cheeked and loving all that new snow.
Now here he is all day today and yesterday. Our January is falling into its typical pattern of sickness. The yucky bug has hit our home, and who knows how long it will stay. Last year from January until March we just passed sicknesses back and forth to each other. And when I say we, I mean me, Carson and Lincoln. Thiago lives under this roof also, yet somehow has an amazing immune system and gets absolutely nothing. Me, however...well apparently I have the immune system of a 2 month old cause everything my kids get, I get. Its fun.
The only good part about sick kids is all that extra cuddling you get. What is it about your mama when you are sick. Somehow us moms make it all better, and this little 5 year old just can't get enough of me. As I type this he is all snuggled up in between me and Thiago in our bed watching his show. Clinging to my arm, like his little life depended on it. Its sweet, and I am soaking it up.
Yeah, you know my boy is sick when he looks like this at 6:30 at night. He is way to active of a kid to tucker out this early. But asleep he was. Poor baby. Lets hope he clears up soon and the rest of us stay unaffected. I have enough on my plate right now...don't need that adding to it.

Oh man, I'm sorry he's sick! That is such a bummer! I'm clinging to a sickness myself that I can't seem to shake! Thankfully it's just my nose that's bothering me, but it's so annoying having it run one minute and stuffy the next! I just want to be back to 100% - I hope your little bug doesn't travel around your house like it did last year, get well soon little buddy!
Poor kid he looks the same as little Brevin. But I do hate to say it that I do kind of enjoy the extra cuddling. We sometimes don't get that often enough. I hope he gets better soon.
Poor little guy!! Hope he is feeling better very soon. Luckily kids seem to bounce back quickly. I hope you stay healthy!!
I just realized today from Jenny that you girls are twins! What a dork I am. I just thought you were only a year apart or something. Crazy! no wonder you look so darn similar!! :)
So sad, sick kids are the worst. I agree the best part would be snuggling! Why us it that the husbands have the best immune systems? Benton never gets sick either, its not fair.
Oh i swear the story of the sick kids is never going to end at our house. Last year we were healthy for the most part no puking or stomach flu just a few little sniffles but this year........Not good so far. Robbi has had three ear infections and Gehrig came down with strep and the crupe last week. He was down for 5 days it kicked his butt. I hate cold and flu season. Best of luck to ya!!
I am so so sorry, I feel bad like we are the ones that started this with Luke's birthday the other day. Especially if everyone is still sick when Drake comes, if so just ship the other kids to me, I got it covered. I thought Luke was over it but last night he threw up twice and has a fever. I am hoping it has something to do with his immunizations yesterday but chances are he has it AGAIN!
Ugh...I am sorry Teri! I hope he feels better real fast, especially before that baby comes.
Poor little Carson. I am sorry he is sick. Hopefully he is better by now. Love you guys!
