Little boys and their dads...is there anything cuter!! My Carsy-boy LOVES his dad. The minute he hears the garage open at the end of the day, he runs to the back door to greet his best friend, his Dad! Nothing makes a mom prouder than to see the way her little boy looks at his dad, with complete love and adoration. Thiago can do no wrong in Carson's eyes, I don't think there is a better feeling in life, then knowing you are loved by your father. And there is no doubt in my mind that Carson knows how very much he is loved. And it is no wonder, dads come up with the craziest ideas and the absolute funnest activities...that moms would never even think of. This is Carson and Thiago's newest project. I work just on Thursdays and half a day on Saturdays. My mom in law watches Carson on Thursdays and Carson stays home with Thiago on Saturdays. You should see my house when I get home, it is a disaster area...it looks like a bomb has gone off and it takes me a good hour to get things put back the way I like them. However, I am willing to look past this because I know the joy it brings to my little boy. This one-on-one time with his dad is priceless. This last Saturday, Thiago taught Carson how to build forts in our family room with chairs and blankets. Carson just thinks this is grand, now every night after he gets out of the tub, they go to work. Such fun for me to clean up, but they love it, and Carson's smile makes it all worth it!

That is so cute. Just the look on his face priceless. You can tell he really thinks this is fun. He is so darling and Thiago you are such a good dad. You really are hands on and thats what kids need.
That is so darling, I love Carsy's face in those pictures. He looks like he is in heaven. Believe it or not I don't think Eric and Lance have ever done this. Plenty of other goofy things, but no forts. Thiago will have to teach Lance next time we come.

That is so sweet it is so true about fathers and their sons. As little as Barrick is he already knows his daddy. No matter how tired or hungry he might be Scotty always gets smiles and laughs out of him the minute he walks in the door. I also love the forts I did that with my dad when I was little, it is so much fun!
I love that! Mitchell gets so excited to see Nick too! I say "Mitchell never gets that excited to see me" probably because I am always making him do boring things, and Nick does all the fun stuff! Great fort Thiago! When Nick is in charge there is always quite the mess to clean up, but since Nick is so busy all the time, I am glad to see how much fun they have when he is around!
I have to admit it makes me a little jealous how much Tanner likes Kyle and how Kyle can do no wrong, I think he should like me the best. But I guess we should be thankful that we have such good husbands.
This bond is not limited to only boys. My 3 year old Brooke absolutely LOVES when she hears the door open and Daddy's home! She will drop anything she has, jump up and run for the door. Sometimes I am really jealous of the admiration she has for Derek, but my mom says us kids were the same way for our dad. I guess moms (especially stay at home moms) are just supposed to know they are loved because kids are with them all day. I keep trying to remind myself that she loves me too! The pictures are way cute though! We have never built forts, although both Derek and I both did this as kids. Maybe we'll have to do this tonight!!

What about that fort Thiago! Now you just need to have a night where you guys sleep in it together! You could even put a TV in it and havea movie night.
